Try to find someone who sells slab wood, its way cheaper than firewood and it burns great. We get a dump truck full every fall and it costs about 300 bucks.

I am planning on a trip this July to West Nipissing resort. Has anyone from the board been there? We are staying at there Bear lake camp. Bear lake is supposed to have a decent musky population (never fished musky)What would be a couple of lures you would suggest for them? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Kuha

Stayed there a couple years ago. The owners were very nice and the cottages were located about 30 feet from the lake. The fishing was awesome.

Jack lake in Apsley? Great fishing and some pretty awesome private cottages for rent. There is also Jacks lake lodge and a few campgrounds.

I want to take my boy ice fishing for a few days during the march break and Im having a hard time finding a spot . We would like to fish for walleye and need a cottage and hut. Everything in southern ontario is closed for walleye but I dont mind driving 6 to 8 hours if thats what it takes. Any suggestions?

Try Fishfinder charters in Carrying Place, Big walleye and lots of perch to keep your nephew busy. The huts are pretty comfy too.
