  1. 13th now. Thanks again everyone. There are 749 people entered in the contest. With any luck at all (even though this is Friday night) you all will have hoisted Joey up to 11th place by midnight tonight. I like the sound of that because it is page ONE. WTG!
  2. Yeah, we're having popcorn.
  3. Thanks Reefrunner.
  4. Votes are going well. I started this new thread because I felt there were too many distractions on the original thread. My apologies to Mr Eh and to Joey. If you want to encourage Joey, that's great. If you don't, you don't have to post to this thread. Please vote HERE! Thanks
  5. Looks real good there Joe...thanks.
  6. Well, no one else will say it...in the words of the Darrin Schwenkbeck team, "That's what bumpers are for." Sorry about your bud's boat. Hope he gets it fixed to his satisfaction.
  7. I think fish derby cups should be named alphabetically according the the fishes size. For example: bass would be a B Cup, carp would be C Cup etc....
  8. Thanks for the heads up, Bill. The Gouin is one of my favorite places. I haven't been back in 5 years or so. I hope a few OFNers jump on this deal. Great water and you certainly know about walleye fishing.
  9. Have you checked your battery power? Drop in battery power produces a drop in transmitter power reducing the unit's ability to find bottom or targets.
  10. Yes, that IS a good report. Glad you had a good day. Are you sending the net to the dry cleaners now?
  11. The short answer is yes, a 17 gal. livewell is large enough for a bass tourney. Remember though that your livewell is never full, it's usually half full. That makes it an 8.5 gal. livewell. If you're planning on fishing for other species, particularly esox, you'll need a long livewell. Fishing tourneys is about the only reason anyone could need a livewell. I've disconnected mine and now use it for storing baits. I don't often keep fish so they get released right away. If I choose to keep some, the best method is to quickly dispatch them and put them on ice.
  12. A wonderful report, David. You're very fortunate as it isn't often you get to see 4 generations all fishing at the same time. Good stuff and congrats to AJ!
  13. Welcome aboard. The very first thing on your list must be an outdoor card and a fishing license.
  14. Cliff, I think we're lining something up for a 9PM to 9AM tourney. There'll be some good fish in there.
  15. Don't, you're sounding like Doug.
  16. What speed does it blow out at MW? Lots of baits cannot run at more than 2-3 mph.
  17. I guess it's all been covered several times now eh? The next OFC G2G will be help at the Service Canada offices.
  18. Also must be of contrasting colour to colour of the boat.
  19. So let me get this straight. Your buds are putting life and limb on the line to put out a forest fire and you're doing you best imitation of cub reporter Jimmy Olsen of the Cobourg Planet? Looks like my kinda mission.
  20. That's just Great! Hit'er again Emilio. You can do it!
  21. Thanks for the report, Kemper. Looks like an awesome day on the water for you.
  22. Roy

    GCD!

Hey y'ole Dawg! What's the 6,000th post going to be about? Have you planned a party?
  23. Great looking smallies there Jigger. Thanks for the pics.
  24. You've seen the threads. Everyone wants the OPP, CCG and the MNR to be present and do their job but when it comes time to inspecting YOUR boat, it's a different story. Why is that?
  25. Glen! A coonass Cajun ringer from Baton Rouge Louisiana? Sounds like my kinda folks. What's the attendee count up to so far? If everyone brings one beer up with them at least I'LL have a prize table.
