ok. i got a 36 incher and prob the last one in the 38 incher in the kayak.. and some pike. in my kayak. yes there some danger..wit all speices..sometime the worst ones are the smalles ones wen they go bersurk...on you. good tick gloves..is one hell off a good tools to have actualy dont have any proble,me to lip a pike or musky up to that size..36 incher...not at all..and this is very helpfull. and those 36 incher dont guive any ride..just a bit more time to srwil around the kayak and sometime a couple time under..but no ride there.... people catsh sharks tarpons and tons off huge fish in kayaks..not a musky that size that will get a kayak flip..no way. this is a great tread by the way. mabe wen you start to get in the high 40's now you start talking about some issue in a kayak and get thos hooks out before you get him to close to you in the kayak for that pict...we have to think that fish is close to you in the kayak and you have no where to go.. . keep those kayak/musky report to come. here a 36 incher in a kayak/me not mutch troble there a couple min and there it is. people underestimate kayak...it is a fishing machine. joco

well. first i willbe joining Crazyhook...for sunday trip'''''MUSKY IN KAYAKS'''''' that should be great trip. caught a nice musky last sunday..even if it was oos fish still fun in the yak..it was aprox 36incher at the carillion dams on the ottawa river....i was going for american shad then caught tons off sauger and that musky. but this weekend ,there open and will target them big time.... i will trow..anything frome big spinnerbait to swimwiz to crankbait to big rubber..anything until i get a patern... hope the bite will be hot this weekend. see you soon crazy.. joco

hi irishfield true its says ottawa. but i am in hull accross the bridge,(5sec frome ottawa). even wit that if its legal to spearfish in ontario in some sector for carp..there would be no prob store a spear gun at home.even in ontario. like all the guy are been saying there is not mutch off musky....WE need to put them back.(my 2 cents) anything that can be done to help the musky population as to be done. great tread by the way. joco.

hi.. irishfield first i live in qc so no prob to store my spear gun. plus i never did some off it in ontario even if i stay at 2min frome ontario. i would not do anything unlegal. what i spear i eat and its legal. there some people that went farther then that...they go under water....scuba diving and bring there rods....yes fishing rods. and thats the way they fish. this is cool and ''''could be legal all over'' but will have to chek this one out,,this is not a normal situation..hahaha you can see how the fish react and if you are to slow or not...a very good way to lurn how the fish reatc and its reaction. i will start this this summer..................do some FINTROLLING....... . joco

i dont realy like that video about the musky. dont kill musky at all. but do spear fish. its a sport.its like hunting. i am talking diving spearfishing here..underwater. for ontario there some species that are legal to catch wit a spear not sher about walleye. i do no in quebec walleye are ok wit spearguns..not musky/lakers/salmon/sturgeons...not sher abut ont. there is some states in the usa that are very popular to target musky and sturgeons wit those spear hand spear in those ice shak..they make big hole and put down a decoy to attract the fish to the holes then they spear them. spearfishing is a great sports. and not worst then go hunting deer wit a longbow etc. i see some fish that have 3 treble hook caught down in there trowt.. . the sport off spear fishing is not for all. but people should try it. but i want to say....at least for my part..if i spear it...i will eat it. i dont kill for fun... i see people shoting carp wit bow at long sault just for the fun off it.this is..... .sad. joco

YOUR best bet is to try the most you can and get the that fit you...and comfortable.because if its not you wont use it. there some demo days in a lot off store..or go see some place that have lakes just beside the dealer like frontenac. dealer. every kayak is good.but not for everybody and not for every location you fish. so it depend. your weight the location you fish where you fish.and the condition.......cold water or just summer months..for this..dry suit is nice..and almost a must. your budget there is a lot off kayak to chuce frome..go see some kayak fishing sites.. just google..kayak+fishing..you will get 100's off sites. mosly down south. but the sport is gething bigger. up here..and i hope to see more and more kayak fishermans all over. joco http://www.yakfisher.net/smffiles/index.php

I saw somepoeple are skare to catch some 20 pound salmon in kayak.... . ok for people that never try to fish in kayak..the ideal must be...wow. but for people that did try those kayaks...........salmon fishing is almost a jock in kayak..its is just as fun or more fun then in a boat..plus more chalenging. then sit in those huge boats. take a look here on those link you will see pictures off some fish caught in kayak...so those 20 pound salmon look like minnows.. here some tread/link/picts http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extreme-...-shark-fishing/ http://www.bigwatersedge.com/ http://www.marinij.com/ci_8200635?source=most_emailed ok a 20 pound salmon is not a joke..but there not mutch compare to those fish....tons off guy fish the oceans in those kayak for 100'S pound tarpon etc...so there just a great fishing vessel.. try them and you wont regret it. there just plain fun....... . i sold my big boat...17f/80merc to fish in my kayak and i will never go back. for people that want to have fun and do some adventure and get a rush kayak fishing is the thing to do. down south in the U.S.A kayak fishing is coming very very strong. some derbys and all. joco.. joco

hi grilw.. if i ever flip... i dont care mutch...everything is attche to the kayak wit a leash,,rods all the stuff in the box...the box as some flaothing devise it wont sink. the only probleme will be the water in the digital and the fish finder....th gps is water proof...thatr is why i got a use fish finder and use digital on the net at a real sheap price that way,,i flip........dont loose mutch. but to flip.man you almaost nee d to want to flip,,there hard to flip. joco.

hi tbayboy.... my yak is a wilderness 135t..a 2 persons kayak tranform in a one person ,,that way it guive me a LOT off space for all my tackle etc. i got on that kayak. on the front dash board...fish finder gps compass 2 rod holder...movable forward and backward digital camera month and a digital for self pict.. in the yak.......2 rods tackle box whit 4 plano box full off tackle. maps safety kit spare padle drift bag anker+rope/shain emergency kit an electric builg pump. an hand builg pump a sponge all the tools..plyer cuters etc,. on the kayak............safety flag for the boaters to see me better on the side a rope on 2 pulleys to make the anker or drift systeme to go forwar or backward. a post for still fishing in the shalows. plus i got in my truck.safety light for front and back if i go night fishing..plus a little clip on down riger in case i go lakers or something. so not mutch is missing for now i would think..all off this ad 50 pound its not to bad..the kayak can handle 500 pound. hope to see more and more kayak fishermans..and report joco.
