  1. 2001 75HP many hours hot weather freezing cold weather rainy weather windy weather lots of trolling (greasers/mucksi/walters) always starts, most time first or second crank very quiet great hole shot, even with an aluminum prop smelly down wind (damn two strokes) expensive oil and service next motor is going to be an etec or whatever replaces them DFI RULES BROTHER !!! I should have prefaced this testimonial with the fact I've never owned anything else and have no benchmark to compare against
  2. My condolences to you and yours Lew.
  3. Oops !! Always get the 'birds and 'bees mixed up. I saw a crazy plum go for 90 large at auction , yes us funds. Well it meant something then !
  4. Oh my god !! You don't cover that superbee !! And I don't mean in dust !!
  5. If your driving over you need photo id (drivers license) & proof of citizenship/residence (not sure supporting doc's will cut it), try calling cutoms.
  6. Moe's right, Kevin will steer you in the right direction. There will be alot of experience up there this weekend, look for the guy in the yellow OFC jacket that's covered in fish slime. I've heard he knows his way around the lake. lol And remember, a few beers will go along way.
  7. Lakers, yes, that's what I wanted to here ! Thanks for the info.
  8. Hoping someone here has fished Wollaston Lake near Coe Hill and can tell me what swims in them there waters. Sport fish consumption guide has only listed buckets and bronzebacks but there must be walleye and pike, possibly muskie and lake trout ? Is it a deep or shallow lake ? Weedy/rocky ? Not soliciting any spots/lures/colours etc. just the 'lay of the land' so to speak. Thanks
  9. Encore ! Encore ! That was phenominal ! I need a kleenex.
  10. Mike check out Lebarons and find out if they have any Abu Garcia Torno 3004HSI's left, at a clearance price of $150, reg $225+, they are the schnizzle ola. They also make a 3003, another good reel and a 3006 which I haven't used. Light, small and tough as nails, press the thumb bar and spin the spool and you'll be amazed at how long it keeps spinning. I toss jigs/lures down to 1/4oz with it.
  11. I was watching a talk show the other night and they were discussing this movie, apparently, the world rankings for health care had the Us in 37th and Canada in 30th, maybe he should have used another system for comparison. Remember folks, the purpose of these movies is to make money, if you think that these people are actually interested in change your dreaming. The last thing rich Americans want to do is wait in line with the "huddled masses" for better health care, Moore included. Your right love2fishhave2work his films and that other masterpiece of propoganda "An Inconvenient Truth" would have made Goebbels proud. Ask yourself one thing when you see or hear stuff like this, Who stands to profit from me believing this ?
  12. It's hard to argue with success, besides, it's Squid's goto bait ! lol I threw one for the first time this year and it produced 4 ofah quality bass (3-4lbs) and a 44" ski, I'm sold. While there have been quality issues in the past they're relatively cheap, $11-12 at Lebaron's, single colorado blade. If you can Dawg get a hold of a tandem blade model in either firetiger or bullfrog.
  13. "The Greatest Discovery" Peering out of tiny eyes The grubby hands that gripped the rail Wiped the window clean of frost As the morning air laid on the latch A whistle awakened someone there Next door to the nursery just down the hall A strange new sound you never heard before A strange new sound that makes boys explore Tread neat so small those little feet Amid the morning his small heart beats So much excitement yesterday That must be rewarded must be displayed Large hands lift him through the air Excited eyes contain him there The eyes of those he loves and knows But what's this extra bed just here His puzzled head tipped to one side Amazement swims in those bright green eyes Glancing down upon this thing That make strange sounds, strange sounds that sing In those silent happy seconds That surround the sound of this event A parent smile is made in moments They have made for you a friend And all you ever learned from them Until you grew much older Did not compare with when they said This is your brand new brother This is your brand new brother This is your brand new brother Congratulations Rich, that's some head of hair on the little guy !!
  14. I think we all know what Chris was looking for, the question is was he pretending to be Capt. Kirk or Spock ? lol Great report guys, it was a blast spending a few days with you !
  15. Sorry I missed you guys this year. Great report and pics.
  16. Great report from a great coonass !! Did the grub end up catching y'all anything ? Next year we're getting out fishing together, I've got a great "worlds greatest sportfish" spot. lol
  17. Man did that fly by fast ! Due to family commitments I was unable to make it up for the weekend but couldn't let the event pass by with a no show so I headed up during the week to get in a couple of days with the gang. Wednesday afternoon Kevin invited Don, Chuck and myself to have a look at the walleye pond that so many of us have heard about . Quite the ingenious setup. Wednesday evening I headed out with Shelley and Chuck (ladywalleye & bigchevy4x4) for some west arm walleye, the fishing gods smiled on us and we were rewarded with several fish, four of which were invited to breakfast the next morning. Here's ladywalleye working her culinary magic. Mmmmm, walleye !! Here's a shot of Tent City before the masses arrived on friday. Biteme and his buddy came up wednesday night and decided to visit campsites instead of fishing, those that have been to Lakair before can appreciate this, this is my third year and I fish less every year. lol Their plan was to get a good nights sleep and hit it hard in the morning. I believe the exact words were, " WE're gonna hit it hard tomorrow, all day !! You're making the sandwhiches !! I don't know what was in those sandwiches but .... Here's a sunset shot that looks right out of "Lord of the Rings" Well the fishing was good and the company even better, can't wait till next year.
  18. I finished up all the work I had yesterday so today I'm packing and leaving first thing tomorrow morning for Lakair, it's finally here !! Sadly I have to be back in the big smoke for friday evening but I plan on making the most of my three days. Looking forward to seeing all the regulars and some new faces as well. If anyone needs a ride up let me know, I know, kinda last minute but I wasn't sure of my departure date til now.
  19. Board Name: thecraftyprince Real Name: Graham Number of people you are reporting for(...including you): 1 Accomodations (Camping or Cabin or off site): tent city Bringing boat? yes Renting Boat? no Using restaurant facilities? when they're serving I always seem to be fishing or sleepin, so no, well maybe once for breakfast. I can only make it up for wednesday, thursday and friday this year so no tourney for me, not that it matters, I couldn't catch a fish during the tourney to save my life. Now I know how Wayne feels most of the year. Ohhh !!! lol
  20. I'd like to request the video of Maureen's bellybutton please.
  21. Not just Tom, are there any campsites available at another lodge !
  22. I don't know if you've been to the store today but Spezza and Heatley are on milk cartons.
  23. Dateline: Anaheim California A missing person's bulletin has been issued for three visitors holding Canadian passports, Daniela Alfredson, Jason Spezza and Danny Heatley were last seen at the pre game skate but once the puck dropped were no where to be seen. Anyone with any information concerning these people should contact the authorities. At least your goalie showed up. Update: Alfredson has been found in a fetal position covering his head and shouting," We got further than last year, what do you guys want from me ?
  24. Very nice tribute Lew. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Graham
