"One account per member, accounts cannot be deleted
jedimaster replied to Squid's topic in General Discussion
One way they could sort things like this out is to have an out of public view forum for threads that go beyond what they deem acceptable.... View at your own risk, not safe for work, grown ups only.... etc... lots of places do this now rather than close, or delete topics they just move them away from public eye and let the topic go on. Most here are adults and can handle there own... There have been lawsuits filed against public boards for violating freedom of speach rights. Its not as big of an issue in canada since we seem to enjoy being told what we can say. A little bit off topic of deleting a user account, but my guess is the whole thing goes around wanting to have a bit of control over what gets posted and by who. -

Seems like a dumb rule to me as well, but oh well. Some boards you have to use your actual name versus a nickname. There are many reasons as to why someone would want to do this. Could be to keep a larger list of memebers for advertising. Could be a half hearted attempt to keep everyone honest. However, trying to keep everyone honest is actually a form of censorship. This board has a long and well known history of censoring posts. Thats why there are people that don't like to post here. Right or not, this is what they choose to do. There are a number of fishing boards where you can post whatever you want and noone seems to really care. This is not the only board in town. I personally have no problems with them making whatever rules they want. They are afterall putting the effort and money into hosting it. -

x2 on terry's suggestion, Get a better selector switch with a voltage meter and hook up the onboard charger to it as well and you are off to the races. -
Found one of these in my basement... I wonder how they got it down the stairs?.....

The very first reel shot in the video does have a birds nest for sure. But don't worry he is using a wavespin. He can cast with the birdsnest no problem.

Quick Dual Battery Wiring Question
jedimaster replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
Just an FYI as far as I know it when you charge them you have to be careful. If the batteries are both new, and equal capacity its usually safe to charge them in parralel circuits, if they are different, or one is older than the other you should charge them seperatley. Otherwise you can end up overcharging one of them possibly leading to damage or explosion etc.... -

Really a great series, and the canucks deserved that win. Crawford stood on his head otherwise it would have been 5-1.To be honest it looked like Chicago missed Bickell, they didn't seem to have that gritty forecheck. Canucks played like they didn't have a bit of fear in them. Luoungo didn't win the game, but he didn't lose it, so i guess thats a start for him in the play offs.

Well, I was rooting for Chicago, cause I know a guy that plays for them. but he just got put for surgery so he will miss the rest of the season. Oh well. I guess I have to keep rooting for them.

Kistler with a "build your own" rod
jedimaster replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
Yikes, made a nice micro guide split handle frog rod 635 bucks. I think I would rather have two cumaras. -
My brother bought me a big jumbo pack for xmas. The instructional dvd it came with is hillarious.I think I may even have to try them out.

What is partial reverse? Is that where you have to take the motor off the bracket and point it backwards?
-
I think you have mistaken that just a tad... "they are lulling the Canucks fans into a deep coma"

Lakes are still frozen. They are doing a scouting mission today and will update the site later.

I would like Boston and Chicago to win so I am not forced to root for either canadian team that I don't give a rats ass about... Remember when the Sen's were "Canada's team" hahaha

haha

Is it possible for both of them to get knocked out in the first round?
-
bickells goal was a solid goal, good forecheck and a thundering hit by bolland, and bickell roofed it. the other was a bad play by the goalie but the strong forecheck opened up bolland, the breakaway goal was nice, and luongo coughed up a bad rebound for the fourth. Vancouver has to put someone in net and whoever it is can't play crappy like either of those two... who do you all think will start game 7. I don't think they can really afford to shelter Loungo. but it sure seems like the backup is going to start.
-
Vancouver must be wanting to win especially bad at home in dramatic fashion, they have played terrible the last three games. Two tight losses in games 2 and 3, followed by two obliterations by chicago. Another tight game last night. Chicago looked like they ran out of steam for a while in the third, but Vancouver just didn't have the horsepower to pull through. I am pulling for chicago, as I hate vancouver. Some great hockey being played by some players in Chicago. Some freaking pounding hits too. I have a feeling like it Toews wasn't MIA this series would be long over with the 'nucks making tee times. Bickell, Bolland and Keith are the top player on the ice for chicago right now. Even Hossa is playing well.

if you have a bb and a usb you can just enable the usb drive mode then you can copy them directly off of the folder. the actual folder depends on your bb model.

What would it take to leave your job?
jedimaster replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
Every time I do an interview I always ask. "Where do you see yourself in 2 years" If the answer is anything but something bigger and better I don't hire them. I would rather have an employee that is looking to step up rather than sit in one place. -

Anytime I have taken my dog to a vet I always start off with if its going to be too much money let me know how much it is to have him put down. I have never seen a vet bill more than a few hundred dollars. Went to Vet1 with our beagle for a sore leg we thought may have been broken, the vet said gonn need xrays, pills blah blah, initial upfront of 1.5k . went to vet 2 said if its bad just tell me how much to put him down. They looked him over for 50 bucks, said he was fine. -

Every place I have left, I have always been offered more to stay, the what can we do to convince you to stay talk, the reality though for my position for me to move up in the ladder is not really possible as I am at the top rung in my field. The only advancement is that of a larger company, more staff, moreservers, more computers etc... Although the money has always been better moving on, thats never been the sole factor for doing so.
