Barry Willis Posted October 13 Report Posted October 13 Well rather than the traditional Thanks Giving supper (which we had yesterday) of turkey or ham I smoked part of a big ole brisket, made some yorkshires and gravy of course, and some tender sweet long carrots freshly dug out of the garden. For desert I bought a golden cake mix which I added to the batter some fresh apples, peeled, cored and sliced, cooked and cooled. the only thing I wish I had done different is to have made more or invited less people as everyone went back for seconds and there's nothing left for tonights supper Hahaha. It was nice to see everyone enjoyed it.
glen Posted October 13 Report Posted October 13 Happy thanksgiving. my chef makes the best stuffing. We no longer do a turkey as we like chicken better. looks like another sunny day here. I guess I’ll play outside after lunch.
Barry Willis Posted October 13 Author Report Posted October 13 (edited) We are more partial to chicken as well. My wife could eat chicken every day. I personally prefer beef and wild meat. A couple months ago I made a ground turkey meat loaf and did it on the grill as I do with my beef. It was unbeleviable. It's sunny here too but with a brisk north wind with a high of zero and - 8 wind chill. Down to -7 tonight but a little nicer later in the week. Edited October 13 by Barry Willis
