floater Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 Thanks for the tip on hotels. Sounds great Rustic-Fisher. I have a small 14 deep and wide with a 30 yamaha. I won't be going out that far!
petersaban Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 We jigged Nanicoke again on Friday, caught our limit but had to work for them this time. Still plenty of fish out there but marked only a fraction of the fish we did see just 2 weeks ago

Yes, they got their 18 pickereyes in less than two hours, but this fish was the highlight of their trip. Caught on a dipsey, 90ft out and a trolling spoon. It ripped 100ft of line in the first run and took them 20 minutes to finally get in the net. They knew it probably wasn't a pickereye, maybe a sheepy, but no one in the boat considered this! HH PS... My brother is 6ft 2in PSS... I forgot to mention that the spoon used is called a greasy chicken wing! LMAO! We fish Erie western end starting just west of the fish market. Basically 3 way rigs "with worm harness" weight varies from 2 to 6 oz, with fish anywhere from 25' to 50' FOW. It's basically very few walleyes go back and that's the way all the boats are fishing for meat. We've gotten the occasional laker, musky or channel-catfish. Not often but when they do bite they are usually big. I bet that catfish near worn your arm off. They are excellent fighters. The one below was > 15 pounds, near wore my arms off. 1
