tomfor Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Ice fishing a 50 acre Lake with a 90 ft Max depth. We fished for four or five hours and weren't doing very well. Moved around a lot and drilled 20 holes at various depths. I then thought what the heck I'm going to try it super shallow so I moved in and found six feet of depth and we got nine splake in about 90 minutes. Is this a trout thing? An overall fishing thing? What is your opinion. 14 inches of ice btw 1
Spiel Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Nice catch When I target Brookies and Splake through the ice I rarely fish in water more than 10 - 12 feet, they like it shallow. Sometimes I'm in less than 5 FOW.
