bucktail Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Hoping to try to figure out the eastern Erei eyes this year. I never seem to have much luck. Has anyone heard of any Erie reports for eyes yet this year. Willing to share the boat as well if someone could help me out. Have everything needed.
charlied Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 well a month ago they were getting them 2 miles out of point abino...last I heard they were 5 miles out from port colbourne, you can never go wrong with fishing near the gas wells...which I think are about 5 miles out also. I don't fish in a boat so this is second hand info and not sure if its true or not, hope it helps!

Hellfish Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 I would fish anywhere u mark baitfish around the 60-80ft mark, dispseys and boards, worm harnasses are working, if u have time stop in @ Fishin Niagara in Ft Erie and speak with Denis he will hook ya up with the info u need and while u are there u can pick up his harnasses which kill out on erie.
Squid Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Yup Denis is a great guy. Full of info regarding fishing on the upper and eastern lake erie.
tipupesox Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Talked to a friend who has been limiting out on the NY side trolling between the departure buoy and Seneca Shoals (40-50 foot). He has been plugging bottom with harness's as well as using Jet 10 and 20 divers. Hope this helps ................
