Looking at having one made in hopes that it lasts longer than my Lund cockpit covers that has started to tear everywhere and thin after 4 years. Any recommendations on a shop or fabric i should consider? I keep the boat outside when in season, and from dec-apr its stored indoors. So it does see sun and the elements for half a year.

I have a custom made one that is now 10 years old and still in excellent condition. I would recommend using Top Gun for the material. Excellent durability,does not rip or get damaged by the sun and has excellent water repellency qualities and does not need to be retreated for it.

I had my cover made 11 years ago.. The material is in very good condition.. The threads in one spot is kinds separating, but hey it's been 11 years in the hot and cold..

My buddy used Eagle Canvas in Burlington. Finished product looks real nice and he was happy with what he got for what he paid.
