Ralph Field Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 I saw this on a different forum, and thought this may affect some here Massive Development In Midhurst Threatens the NottyMidhurst Secondary Plan Massive Development Impact on the Notty Podcast LinkHi Everyone:The town of Midhurst of 3,500 is threatened with a massive expansion of 30,000 people.Willow Creek which empties into the Notty at the Minesing Wetlands will be seriously affected!!!The EA Environmental Assessment only looks at the surrounding area and Willow Creek. It does not consider impact to the Nottawasaga River?!?!?!Many of you fish and are concerned about things that may harm our watershed and fishery. Last week, I was interviewed along with two other individuals, Chris Evans and Connie Spek of the Midhurst Ratepayers Group on Beach Booster Radio. Here is the podcast of that session. I think you will be very interested to know what is happening. Just click on the arrow and listen. It takes about 40 mins but well worth it.http://beachbooster.blogspot.ca/2014/04 ... l?spref=fbTell me what you think afterwards.AND...Please pass this on to others. We have to stage a huge momentum just as we did in stopping the MegaQuarry and Site 41. We can do it.If you care about your fishery future and our environment...get involved.Kindest regards and Best Fishes,GaryGary ChristiePresident, Nottawasaga Steelheaders"Help us...put a little back"Visit our website at www.nottawasaga.org
