gaspumper Posted May 14, 2013 Report Share Posted May 14, 2013 I have a Quantum pti20,there is no adjustment on the drag meaning turning the drag knob 1/8 turn off there is no resistance,turn 1/8 turn tight you can't pull the line out.Where would you recommend sending it to for repair. ah_long Posted May 14, 2013 Report Share Posted May 14, 2013 PM me, I might be able to help you out. There's a few quantum Pti (catalyst, energy, kinetic), which one is yours?? In any case, the Quantum Pti spinning reels use a multi-disc drag system. The washers are sandwiched with each other (metal-composite material). If you could, remove the retainer ring on the spool and take the drag stack out. Inspect the washers and see if the composite material was disintegrated.
