Superline for Floatfishing

To answer your question, yes obviously a thicker line will reduce bedding issues. However bedding has never been an issue for me. If it does happen it's usually after fighting a fish and one long cast and drift afterwards eliminates the issue.

The thicker line won't cast as well and beyond the fact that it floats that's the biggest advantage of using it.

I started with 12 then switched to 10 and liked it better. Fishing with Bill last month he was running 6lb Nanofil on his rod and it cast and handled like a dream. I'll probably be trying 6 myself next spring. Like most superlines the break strength is way underrated. 6lb Nano is waaay stronger.

I run the 12, and find it to be perfect. I wouldn't go with anything less because I often run leads up to 10lb ultra green (and that stuff is strong!)

I run 8lb Drennan Super Specialist for shot line and it will break before 6lb Nano will... You might be surprised :)
