tomO
I'm trying to figure out the best ways to run the line that releases the trolling plate, into the boat and keep it outa the way any ideas. I tried running up over the engine thru a piece of rubber hose. I had the hose achored to the cowling with self sticking wire thingies (not really sure what there called) but that didn't work they pulled off the first time I yanked on the cable ideas appreciated. Fisherman
Okay, I'll try, my old partner, rest his soul, had a 70 Evinrude with a trolling plate, ran a peice of nylon starter cord from the release to the cleat at the rear ouside of the boat, long enough to allow turning hard left/right, but short enough so it would never get close to being snatched by the prop, going fwd or rev.
