Boat insurance question

Dave Bailey

Recommended Posts

Had an e-mail from someone who is interested in participating in the Gals 'n' Pals tournament. He says his boat, including the liability coverage, is included in his house insurance, and he doesn't have a separate slip for the boat. Haven't run into this one before, wondering if you folks can advise me on this one. Is this something normal, and would having a copy of his house insurance form with him be okay?

I just carry a copy of the page of my house ins that pertains to my boat,I recopy it every year from the new policy. As long as the policy # is there and the expiry is shown my agent says that's all I need.
