OT: Land owners

Hi all,

 

I recently purchased a couple plots of land and found out today about Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program (MFTIP).

 

Anyone part of this program?

Pros/Cons?

I have never done it for personal property, but was part of a Land Trust that had it done for most of it's properties. It seems like a fairly straightforward process. Basically, you need to get a management plan done by a qualified professional, then follow the management plan to qualify for the tax incentive.
