Joeytier Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Got out for an evening fish a few days ago for the inaugural trip of 2011 for the 'ol pin. High, green water brimming with fresh chinook made for an action-packed evening. I managed at least a half-dozen or so beautiful chinook on bright coloured flies and jigs. Throughout the trip, I kept noticing steelhead running and gunning between the chinook, and scored my first chromie of the year. A FAT 23-24 incher. Definitely the highlight of the trip. Bring on the cold weather! tight lines
J-M Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Nice Fish! That Chinook looks massive in the first photo. Can't wait for the steelies to start showing up in real numbers..
Rod Caster Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 I bet you don't miss North Bay so much after that trip! If only we had fall runs up North we would have a perfect fishery. Great post Joey.
