brandon Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) I'm sure you've all see a photo of swans making the heart shape with their necks during their courtship rituals. Well I've also seen photos of this happening and wanted one of my own...today I accomplished that goal here in Windsor while shooting some waterfowl in flight. Here's the shot of the swans followed by a couple flight shots, enjoy! irishfield Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Great shots Brandon !!! Now about them swans.. is that first shot black and white? as otherwise those are Trumpeter Swans.
brandon Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 Thanks!...and yes i converted it to b/w...in the colour version they're bills are quite orange
irishfield Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Thanks.. up to the eye black pattern and bills are the same... and in that shot can't see their bill bumps (that only the Mute has). I counted the trumpeters spring and fall, from the air, for years for the Wye Marsh introduction program.
