john vail Posted January 27, 2011 Report Share Posted January 27, 2011 Since I make my own worm harnesses, I generally use 6mm beads with a # 5or6 colorado or willow blade. will a #8mm bead work well with that size blade or should I stick to the 8mm beads when using a #8 blade thanks for your help. Rod Caster Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 8mm beads might outweight the blades and cause them to spin less freely. Make one and try it in the water...in my opinion, you will need bigger blades and thicker line. I've made some cool looking harnesses that totally fail with a water test...it's all about balance.
