Dave Bailey Posted October 6, 2010 Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 I would suppose that the reason for their legal ability to confiscate vehicles is because, if it was used to transport the people, their equipment, and any illegally caught fish or game, the vehicle is then material evidence in a crime. That's why I couldn't understand why the government had to pass a law a few years ago to allow for the vehicles to be impounded in cases of impaired driving, it should have been automatic in my opinion.
