Was thinkin of heading down to the Niagara River on Sunday. Any know the conditions down there? Is there ice build-up by the shore lines or if theres too many ice floats? Any info could save me some driving. thanks

As a secondary plan, consider trying at the mouth of any of the major tributaries that flow into Lake O. You may be pleasantly surprised to find some good fish activity with the milder conditions forecasted ;)

if this warming trend keeps up the niagara will be unfishable for weeks maybe even into April!

This pic was taken 2 days ago...it is about1km from the falls. There is an ice basically an ice bridge across the Niagara from the falls to about 2-3km downstream...locked up solid...when this lets go and Lake erie thaws...gonna be so much ice in the river it will take forever to clear out! Some of these ice bergs could possibly be 15-20 feet high, looks like I am close doesn't it...but i am not....LOL

The beauty of the Niagara.

Always different, this is why you can expect Rainbows in May, maybe even early June. It always takes a bit longer to warm up!

The chunks flush out pretty quickly but the huge stuff near the falls lasts well past ice out on smaller rivers.

Prolly the best river in the East.

Maybe Queenston is fishable.
