archer379 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 when i got my first dslr i took a one day class at henrys on the camera i bought but they also had classes on lighting, and a few others try there school
Twocoda Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 find a dealer of the camera your gf is using and give them a call ...they should be able recommend someone specializing that particular brand of camera
jayess Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 i'd find some photography forums. there's a ton out there if she's ambitious enough to read into it herself. dpreview.com is good, planetneil.com has some more advanced stuff. i would also suggest she signs up for the (free) digital photography school emails. each week they send some decent articles to keep you thinking and motivated. aside from that, just getting out and shooting is the best way of learning. note: i know you asked for classes, but i was in that same boat (thinking about pursuing classes) before i found that i can get decent intro stuff online.
