Hey,

 

I am heading out to Durham Region this weekend as my mom is throwing my wife a baby shower.

We are expecting our first in March. So my fishing days are going to be limited real soon

 

Anyways I thought since I am out that way I may as well get some fishing in. Does anyone know if there is enough open water on the east creeks to fish? or should I just pack the ice fishing gear and find some hardwater fishing instead.

From everything I've seen, if you're looking for open water you're going to be in the lake. Creeks are still iced up good.

Scugog is about 20KM North (of Brooklin) so I would be heading there if I was you...

Thanks for the info, I kind of figured they would be with no thaw this winter. I'll pack the ice fishing gear and probably head to Scugog.
