owen sound, colpoy's bay ice fishing

Does anybody know the ice conditions at owen sound and colpoys bay. Like to try ice fishing someplace new. Thanks Ted

Colpoys was open water 3 weeks ago, the Satellite image as of Feb 12 shows the same. Not ready yet.

I've been watching on a bi-daily basis, literally drive by's...she's a no go...prob not gonna happen..too windy and not cold enough...may be weak shore ice in places(4 inches) but your nuts goin out on a big lake in those conditions.

On the other hand I live in Red Bay and there is over a foot easy solid ice for a mile out..I would drive a truck on it...problem is no fish.

I would stick to Simcoe or elsewhere safe with fish.

By the sounds of it i dont think there's enough time for it to freeze up solid..
