steve-13 Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Hey im heading up to Lake Ogascanan lodge on tuesday for a 4 day fishing trip. I was just wondering if anyone has been there, and what the fishing was like just so I have a rough idea of what it could be like. Thanks
justin elia Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 I was there last summer. Bring lots of crank baits, blue and white countdowns/floating rapala's in size 9 and 11 and black and silver jerk baits that dive down no more than 6 feet. Lots of Pike and walleye. They even have blue walleye up there. Very cool to see. If you're staying at the lodge, the family there will give you a map of the lake and tell you where the good walleye spots are. As for Pike, just troll shorline in 8-10 feet of water and you'll do well. We didn't bother with lakers. Good luck. Justin
