This is Blackie, a late hatch of the American Crow family that I feed all year.

 

He and his brother fell out of a tree during a storm. When the brother died because the parents didn't feed them I started feeding Blackie every hour during daylight. It's been a month now and his family has re-accepted him into the group, but I still have to feed him every 2 hours. He isn't good at breaking up food off the ground yet.

 

Blackie one month ago: (notice I had to dress all in black or he wouldn't accept me as a mother crow. :(

Thats cool...i did the same for an orphaned gosling about ten years ago ...named him Honk and man was i happy when he finally flew the coup..

I fed him ground up Special K cereal paste until he was big enough to eat corn
