danc Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 A common sight in Northwestern Ontario each summer are these massive aircraft that Ontario uses to douse forest fires with water. These machines will actually skim across a lake surface and pick up water to dump on the fires. Note the stabilizing pontoons at the end of each wing. Luckily the fire scene has been relatively quiet up here thanks to cooler and wetter weather than normal.
