jace Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Are they the newer kind that turn on instantly or the older type with a delay?

ecmilley Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I am taking out all cfl in my house for the few pennies i save on hydro, then you have to take the burned out bulb in for hazourdous waste for the mercury content in the bulb.
tinbanger Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 One of the benfits of the CF is they last a long time . tracklights with Halogen bulbs , constantly replacing , with CF par lamps 18 months before the first one failed. TB
irishfield Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Yah but the eye doctors are gonna make a killing off us from using those lightless wonders. Can't stand them...
tinbanger Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 gotta admit I only use them in crawl space , closets and the like. It takes some trial and error to get the right lamp. TB
