nelly Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 I alway hook my minnow in the front of the mouth. Do you think it might be better if I hook it at the back of the tail giving it more action? I would like to fish for perch main through the ice. Still abit green at this. Lastly, would it make a big difference if I use a small red hook and chum my hole with pinheads?
Clampet Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 I like the reverse hooking technique, where you slide the hook point under the minnow's rear caudal fin and have the minnow facing in the opposite direction.
