steelhead fishing

Hi All,

 

Just wondering when is it best to fish for steelhead?? Are they running yet?? I live in northern ontario, around the sault ste marie area and would like to know if they have passed through or not full in run yet?? Can someone please let me know...

I would say they are in...probably have been since September/October up in your neck of the woods...

when I lived up there, we used to get some summer run fish up at the mouth of the Montreal river..and fish the StMary's right from like Sept right through to spring you have a good 4-5 months of wicked fishin for steelies
