idesign Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 guys i opened and cleaned my carburetor.Now i need to do setting(rpm screw).does any1 has knowledge how to adjust that.right now when i pull it starts some time,some time it doesn't,some time it starts in full rpm.let me know.thx if some1 has spare time and know how to adjust it.i can bring motor to ur home.let me know if some1 can help me out.thx
Fisherman Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 The needle should be opened 1 1/4 to 1/2 turns from shut, once you have it running make small adjustments. You may need a bit more open once you put it in gear. For the idle set screw if it has one, wait til the motor is warmed up before you adjust higher or lower. Remember that settings will have a different effect when you have the motor running in a barrel or on the lake. Where are you located.
