waterwolf Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 did the leg-work for the faint of heart [with some help from members of the board] found the ice to be safe and convinced the sceptics we'll be fine. my buds and i are out tomorrow for pike. they're a bit nervous on a new waterbody. dead -stickin' the late mornin' and walleye in the early evenin' . can't wait .fill you in on lake st. john.

waterwolf Posted January 27, 2008 Author Report Posted January 27, 2008 : got started a bit late 'cause of a tardy twosome . doesn't matter how early you get up it's just not working , you know? anyway , had a slow start and a late bite . one small eye, 14inch and a better pike as we pulled up lines.talked to some others who shared that they had marginal luck as well.
waterwolf Posted January 27, 2008 Author Report Posted January 27, 2008 forgot to mention the slush,lots of it. one hut was just left where it came to rest. 2 sleds and 4 guys abandoned the relocation because the slush was just too thick. st.john aws a bit sloppy.
