  1. 24 volts?,It will not be able to work with my 3 position switch, meaning as you say seperate, plug in charger I guess.Looks like I may have 4 batteries in the boat now. What am I getting into ?lol.I always have two 12 volt batteries for my startup.Just incase .
  2. Mike that fish is sweet,Never understood why people bash,if the fish is released.Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. 10mill beads to big?Used 6mill earlier in the week.Just wondering

  4. Thanks Dave,I'm now looking for that option if I'm going to bite the bullet.I will keep my eye on a gently used one if there available .
  5. Great advice guys,6 mths plus till the spring.I do work lol,but that $1500.00 made me take a step back. The i pilot,do you pay any fee for gps location and what you may need to run it?Really new with this technology. Thanks again.
  6. What a steal Dave!!!!!I figure I have at least 6mths till back in the water. That'll give me lots of time to look for a deal over the winter.
  7. And the Barrie chief said she's going after complete dismissal from the force. Have to love video in this case.
  8. With Reimer and his past, this may not be good. I hope he will be ok.
  9. With electronics,I don't like to buy used either.Just waying my options. For some reason I thought the basic front mount was not as much as mentioned.I need to get out more I guess lol.The boat is in 3000lb plus weight class.Pretty heavy and solid.
  10. Same as I am,just a weekend warrior lol.Hard to justify for sure. Thanks Lew,that's probably the length I would be looking at.What would be your opinion on buying used?
  11. Under a hour guys, can we continue the winning streak??Wonder who's starting in net?
  12. For $1500.00,this may just be a dream at this time lol. What is the longest shaft size? My front is very high off the water, compared to most boats.
  13. I think that is a bit more than I would spend. The remote or wireless foot pedal would be the cats .All those other options would be nice.Maybe some day Thanks Dave.80lb sounds like a good #
  14. JD,the front is big time strong,a bit uneven I"ll give you that.Being on Simcoe most times with the wind from different sides,we target smallies a lot and work the shorelines on the calm side alot.A lot of times there are two of us up on front, but control of the boat(current.wind etc)I find myself starting the motor and moving in and out more than I care to.We do a lot of drifting as well as long as the wind is not to strong. That remote foot pedal may be the ticket??Thanks.
  15. My boat pictured in my avatar is 187 scorpion by Chris Craft.I/O with a step up to the front deck. The front is strong and I stand up there a lot while casting. I would love to add a long shaft front mounted trolling motor to it.Nothing special, basic with foot pedal.Maybe depending on cost something with a hand remote?.When the water gets choppy, standing up front is not a option. Would still like to operate it from the main deck if that is even possible/.What are your thoughts on this type of boat/ arrangement?.Thanks guys.
  16. Me as well Bill, not a option either!
  17. As said, that one time, pease of mind.Even local winter driving in your city or town, what a pleasure. No hill you can't climb with a steady foot. As I said earlier try a few not so nice ramps and see how that 2wd works when it's in the water and a steep incline. Not talking about 12/14' basic aluminum.I've had at least one 4x4 for the last 30 years and have two again as been my choice of vehicles for the last 20years.Good luck with your new investment..
  18. I hear you Raff with my 3000lb plus boat .With a lot of the lakes lower water I'm finding I'm backing in where my back bumper is submerged, and the bottom very muddy and sandy to say the least.
  19. I agree Lew,I couldn't imagine going back to a two wheel drive with some of the launches I frequent. Some ,no way you could use a 2 wheel drive. For example, try sturgeon point marina with a 2wd and a descent size boat .WOW lol.Saw one fellow pulled right into the river from the launch.
  20. Thinking if put on right Rich, has to be a lot better for the fish.
  21. Anyone can have a off night,Leafs lost one already. lol.
  22. Oh I wished I had the same enthusiasm as you. Me not so much lol. Reality will finaly set in.I hope not,but we can see it coming ,I do.!!
  23. I agree ,we were lucky to win that game with all the penalties.Defence sucks, let's face it.As said this team cannot carry on with a 30 plus shots against every night. The goalies can only win so many games.Phaneuf IMO is far to slow and not consistant at all.Nonus must address this sooner than later. I also agree in Chicago Sat will be there first real test. Let's concentrate on the defence. Two veterans imo, don't know how they will do that,is needed now!!!If not I think were in for a nose dive soon.
  24. From what I've learned here a 12-18" leader is way more than enough. It worked yesterday.Just have to lower my bead to 1.5 "from the hook and give it a go.Maybe 1"?.Interesting debate .
