  1. Some people don't like moose, some bear, some even rabbits.

But for the government to just randomly prohibit hunting like they did with spring bear a few years back is just wrong.

The government works for the people. To just impose anything without an explanation is wrong.

    Agreed

  2. Holy crap, must be a full time job. That's alot of moose and alot of work.

I don't think poaching in my area is a problem, the cos are out heavy on the 502 area and it's super strict during hunting season.

It's nice to see the populations rise. I was getting worried for Abit. You could be in the bush a full week without any sign of a moose, and that's just not normal here at all. Now it's probably close to 75% recovered. Seeing lots of calves too.

Anyone been to redlake Ontario? Like just north of ear falls??? Holy man you'll never see so many moose in your life come fall. You can barely reach the speed limit before you have to stop again. It's annoying, but quite the sight. Too far for me to go to justify a hunt though, 6 hours north, I'll stick to the Dryden highway area

  3. I don't think you would like to know just how many contaminants are in a snapping turtle. The government tested some in a lake close to me with alarming results...

    I'd imagine you are correct.

300 year old meat probably picks up a lil of this and a lil of that along the way

  4. Snappers are nowhere near being a threatened species...

I see hundreds of them a year without even looking, and I've never met a single person in my life that ever actually harvests them. Doesn't seem so ridiculous to me. I'd be happy to try it actually.

In NW Ontario there are millions. It's rediculous really.

But im not losing sleep on a ban.

Harvesting them here is still super rare

  5. The laffs can't lose in the eyes of the laffites.

Sting together some wins by a team of rookies and it's cup time lol. Bunch of first year players with no playoff experience who have been punching above their weight class all year is not a sure thing in the playoffs.

No defense, goalie is questionable, just a bunch of rookies who, in their first year, clicked and scored some goals. Yes the leafs of old are gone, Tucker, Domi, Sundin, and the other goons are all gone. Babcock did a great job but Cinderellas slipper is about to come off.

Ummmm your whole team needs a magnesium bath

  6. All in the cooking it needs to be cleaned with only muscle meat and then slow stewed in a red gravy. Served on a bed of rice mmmm mmmm good.

The red gravy is a fantastic lubricant for the meat. Keeps things nice and moist
  7. If they are endangered then they need protection. Down here they are not and they make a delicious soup. There are lots of different animals that some look at as food and other don't. If you harvest from the land and use it then I feel it is the correct way to use resources. If you are just killing them then I feel it is a crime against nature.

Man I wanted to like it so bad lol. I've ate some crazy foods and snapping turtle just isn't good.

If you like it im assuming it's just cooking technique, but holy man I'd rather eat raw beaver, if it's cleaned properly it doesn't taste like fish ????

  8. My pops sells stormtech gear through his store, so warning lol.

The stuff they sell offline is unreal.

Im talking warmer weather gear though, no idea as to the colder weather gear.

I use mine at work even because it fits well, it's durable, fully water proof etc.

Stormtech is often thought of as "cheaper". But man they make some wicked gear if you look
