  1. Meh really? I know ive used propane in colder temps back in the oil patch. Just had to heat it first, which is very sketchy at best lol. Would never do it nowadays. I went out today had nice temps, about -10. Had a blast but only caught 3 walleye in 6 hours. Kids had fun though plus we went sliding :) good times

Do you guys think the rod is better to throw more money into or the reel because i have a crap reel i just cant stand the rod it has LITERALLY NO FEEL, If a shark hit it i probably wouldn't know. :whistling: I just want something that feels good in my hand im gonna go over to CT and then SAIL after X-Mas to check out the lightning rods, ugly sticks and st.croix to see what feels good for the the price. I see lots of frabrill at CT and if I can find one I like I might just skip SAIL its 45 mins from where I am and my car is in the shop. :wallbash::wallbash:.

My buddie has this 28" meat stick from CLAM I cant seem to find it anywhere but he loves it to death any one know where i might be able to find it?

for ice fishing i spend more on the reel. I dont go expensive either but the reel is usually 10-20$ more then the rod. I dont think ive ever had an ice fishing rod i hated, but you seriously cannot go wrong with fenwicks at CT. Awesome rods. I havent tried the st crouixs though but the way people talk about them on here maybe i should check em out too
  3. Dude, you sure that's not an Ugly stick? Remember the way those things used to bend? LOL!!!!!

hahaha true! This rod has some good power believe it or not. Frig i still have my ugly stick from when i was a kid, a 2lb walleye will fold it right over lol. Geez though those rods would be 27-28 years old now
  4. Whoever thought a white ice fishing rod was a good idea needs to give their head a shake. At least use some crazy fluorescent wraps or something.

i bet they sell good though. Virtually invisible on the ice, but stick out like a sore thumb in the store lol. Visual appeal i suppose. Last year my son wanted a new spinning setup for his birthday and thats the same pattern on the rod he chose. One of those ianconelli rods. Nice rod though for the price. Reel was crap though. And its a better walleye rod than it is for bass lol. IMG_0307.jpg. Now back on topic lol.
  5. There was 4 of those abus out on the ice in our group on saturday. Look like decent rods but the fella that was using them sure took a lashing lol. Everytime his or his sons rods fired he had a hard time telling where to go haha, he missed a few good bites. If you were jigging id see no issue, or in a hut. But out in the white stuff those rods are VERY hard to see
