The Police too were almost exclusively a reggae inspired band, Blondie also pumped out a few tunes of that ilk. The stuff i loved from the seventies and eighties also inspired the whole Ska, Skinhead, Rudeboy/2Tone fashion/music scenes of my childhood. The group 'Madness' or 'The Specials' would be the mainstream face of those groups. Just a wicked time to have been growing up. In the same schoolyard you would see.Punks, Goths, Numanoids, Rockabillies, Teddy Boys, Psychobillies, Smoothies/Casuals, New Roamantics, Rude Boys, Skinheads, Soul Boys.boy was it a time of TRIBES!

One of the electricians i used to work with made incredible wines. He was pretty obsessive over it though, but man he had it down to a science. One morning after a nightshift he invited over some coworkers to try some wineshine he had made. Of course a few of us brought beer as well. Back then i could easily drink a 12 pack in a few hours same with others. I remember having maybe 3 beer before having a glass of wineshine. A 10-12oz glass, and boy oh boy was that good. But half hour later everyone was beyond intoxicated lol. Good times for sure.

Broad statement, I'm American and Black Friday is not part of my culture. Wonder how many Canadians that live close to the borders that get in on that shopping action?

i live right on the us border, and no thanks. Black friday is not for us for a number of reasons. A few neighbours of mine went and came back with.... Tvs. These are people that already have 3-4 tvs in their households lol. Is it really a deal if its something you dont need? Hahaha

Mine are really just the big family get togethers we had when i was a child. Just 2 weeks of great times, visiting with family from afar, eating amazing food, the smell of all the fresh baked goodies, man it was amazing! Watching the grandmas drink margaritas and dance was a bonus lol. Herb alpert records playing on vinyl in the evenings, and HNIC with gramps, dad and all my great uncles and uncles. Sadly, that all went away when the great grandmas and grandmas passed away. Nowadays its every christmas. Having your own children is the best gift! Watching their excitement is enough of a present for me and my better half. We spend our holidays eating, sliding, playing shinny on the outdoor rinks and ice fishing. Every year just seems to get funner and funner!

I bought the ugly stik with the blue thread wrapping they are alot more sensitive then the orange thread ones. I really like them they work awesome and are just as strong.

 

I bought the okuma 15 avenger reels they have also been great. I got the reels from eBay $20 shipped and the rods were $35-$40

all our shore fishing rods have okuma avengers. 3 years now, no issues. Handle fish great, best reel imo for such low cost

yeah exactly my point, one season of playing great hockey. They need to get back to that then improve it. If they even slightly improved last years system they'd be a top ten nhl team no doubt

You can see many players on the leafs getting sloppy because of frustration imo. Then it just snowballs. If i was carlyle, id be telling the boys to not worry about winning the next game, just go out for 60 mins and punish punish punish. Play the puck up the boards to the wingers and cycle. But the goal of the game is to punish any opposing player that touches the puck. Just a game to build spirits and momentum, as well as camaraderie. If only it was that easy eh?

to be honest, im slightly jealous of tim and sid. They know next to nothing, talk about getting drunk and a bunch of inside jokes, and gamble away their salaries. Yet, they still have a show???
