I dont see why 6lb wouldnt work? When i catch em its usually on 8lb and ive never had an issue. Keep in mind the ones i catch are pretty small, about 25". I think there much bigger south

nothing normal about -53 lol. -25 sure, thats fine, barely need a jacket, but -53 is a lil rediculous.

Thats exactly what we have here too simon. -40 and cold and windy as f*#%}. Then -10 and 12" of snow, then repeat. I had drifts today well over 20" and man o man, what i had to shovel by hand was tough. I went and checked the ice after work today, 30-35"!!!!! Howah! Might need an extension this year lol. Forecast is looking BRUTALLy cold till next friday:(. GNARLY

Just had my first experience while me and the wifey were doing housework and laundry turns out it was the bed!!!!

Of course he seen the play bill, hes the biggest leafs fan here lol

 

But why do most hear it in the roof or on the roof? I assume most of us who live near lakes know what it sounds like and feels like when there are massive booms on the lake, yet these were more roof like. The one this morn sounded like someone threw a brick up on the roof. We have had some massive house shakers of expanding lake ice or perhaps a frost quake, but this was more rood top.

perhaps its just the perception of sound direction? I know at our house when the river ice booms its "appears" to come from behind my house and not from the front which faces the river.

Nah, nothing is better then moose bro, except walleye, crappie, trout, deer, partridge etc... Were getting the cold too. Average of -42 for the last 5 days hit -53 last night. Funny, we had 12" if ice about two weeks ago, now its like 25-32" hahaha. Byw that meal looks awesome!!!

I wanna break my walleye PB. Other then that i want to learn to fish lakers and target them more often. I also wanna head towards some superior tribs and learn to flyfish. Other then that things will stay the same, fishing with my kids and having a blast with my dad as well as friends

didnt fish with him but my son me and my dad met him at a tackle shop when both of us were gassing up. My son was about 7 at the time. He took time to talk to my boy the gave him a full box of clackin raps!!! Hes a real class act in my books, super nice guy

I say forget TV for your morals and family values, switch the darn thing off, get outside and do something with your family, instead of relying on some ridiculous 'reality' show to set the example, lead from the front!

this is the truth! Get outside with your kids and teach them. A bonus is you'll live a happy life knowing you did what your supposed to do wit your children...teach them to live, teach them to appreciate, teach them to love. Its funny you know, simon, we all love your posts and videos. Same with moosebunk and others. Look at what those posts are about. Nature, family, food, love. Something that is easily attainable for all if us.
