I think its pretty obvious when someone is using children to increase their limit. And thats just a shame. Hook your kids on fishing the right way, from the start, to respect the resource
-
My kids started fishing around 3 or 4. I will say most functional children can and will land a fish with a little help. My 3 year old daughter landed he first walleye this spring, totally on her own until I grabbed the fish shoreside. That being said, i set up lines for her last winter ice fishing, and she could not reel in a fish with gloves etc. So her fish were released and I decided the better method was to assist her landing fish on my rods and of course they went towards my limit if I chose to harvest. So this is a tricky one. The lil one has rights bit those can easily be manipulated by poor moral judgement of an adult. Keep in mind this is no ice fishing rod. Its a 6'6 stick and my daughter is 3 and a half

There not too expensive mike. 3.99 for 4 jigs I believe.
When you rig through mouth and out the skull the minnow remains alive for alot longer then youd think. Its kinda cool too you can feel the minnow panic seconds before a bite sometimes

"Young angler pwns OFC".
Mods please change thread title ASAP! Hahahaha j/k.
Nice specks dood! I'm jealous

thats what those wahoo jigs are. Small red colorado under the jigGoes without saying that a shorter shank live bait jig head is what you want. Will often run a stinger especially in the fall when I'm using larger minnows.
VMC hammerhead jigs are nice, but there's lots of great ones on the market.
If you can find a live bait jig with a small Colorado spinner underneath, similar to a Road Runner jig USE THEM! I have a bunch of jigs like these and the added flash of the small spinner makes a huge difference at times. Was just searching online for a photo of one but couldn't find any. Also can't remember the brand I use...(getting old sucks LOL!)

Rock chuck jigs are my fav bit I use a variety. I usually hook right through skull or at time through the tail. I like wahoo jigs as well. N8ce design good strong hook. I use northlands too but the hooks suck. Gotta change frequently in snaggy waters

Thats awesome!

Its kinda touchy to mention, but last year or so I worked(volunteering) for a suboxone treatment program this helps people kick opiates. I went to do my pickup of suboxone and ironically I had an extra package. I looked and to my dismay it was alot of opiates. Ive been in school for similar trades to pharmacology, and knew the street value would be well into the $40,000 dollar mark. Crazy. I immediately rushed them back to the pharmacy and wow were they thankful. That coulda went bad so many ways
-
lol thats brutal. Awesome you followed through. That lady probably woulda lost her jobA couple years ago my wife spent half an hour trying to convince a pharmacy employee they under charged her by $500. The employee actually ended up getting angry and rude. We ended up calling the owner to explain what had happened and to make it right. Never worked so hard to give away money.

Not gonna lie, i teared up with my kiddos singing the national anthem for hockey tonight

I could be wrong here, but the way I remember it is your hardhat cannot be altered in any way to be up to standards. Of course(if true) people do it all the time with union stickers, removing sweatbands etc so I dont think anyone cares. I know I sure didnt. When I worked in safety id pat ya on the bat for having a canadian flag sticker on your hardhat. Because it would be rediculous to get upset or write someone up over that. A lot off topic but you also cant wear a beanie under a hardhat or a hood under it or over it, but lots do

I just know alot of people that generally dont like coporations like walmart, thats all. I could easily see people just saying "oh well, their mistake" but I know the good folks of OFC would have done the right thing;)
-
Well i just drove 40 mins to our local walmart to get a few petty work gear items etc. After the transaction, right before you get a receipt, the till froze. So i checked my online bank and it was deducted, but i couldnt get a receipt. I get home and just outta curiousity, check my account. I was accredited the purchase??? Im gonna catch some flack here but i called them and told them i got several hundred dollars worth of stuff for free. Manager was relieved. Anyhow, most probably already do but it never hurts to keep a close eye on your debit transactions. It could easily go the other way. HAGD everyone

yep. We get too political at times. Fact is anyone on this board would fish together and have fun. We need to remember that. Awesome pics bill! Id be right there if I couldJDS,
I think we need another meet and greet.... Like we all did way back when this site first started.... Just folks that like to fish together...
Perhaps then You would understand.... Cliff is probably the most generous person I know here.

We are leaving our home in RRFN due to a housing crisis. Our family is just too big for our home. We almost moved this summer but found alot of issues with the house, which was a huge bummer cause the property was awesome. Now we found a semi secluded house, huge place with a great layout. About 10 acres of land! Nice birdhunting road out the backyard. Pinewood river beside the house leading into rainy river in front of the property. Right at the mouth of LOTW's, and a 20 minute drive from my ice fishing grounds on LOTW's. So stoked, and kids are very happy:)
