true bigugly. tough men and women. i aint gonna lie, i think id need to get that off my chest. yet they raised families and worked darn near as if nothing had happened. For all that they saw, they did not want to retell, and relive, the horrors that many experienced. Even in peacetime, Canadians die or are injured serving their country, and it is never pretty.
-
you know what odd? now that I think about it, outta the thousands of times i sat with my gramps, he only told one brutal story. I wonder why? all the stories were mainly about commraderie, and food. man i miss those stories
-
my dogs would totally just eat them. which is kinda gross but id prefer that to rolling around in them. my dogs love lampreys too. yuck. dont even chew, just swallow
nice pics joey!
-
if one of us kids farted in my grandpas house, he yelled "who bombed Canada?" and run around pretend fighting us. best game ever after eating sauerkraut lol
sounds gross and stupid but pride in our country runs deep
I now do the same to my kiddos
-

ill never ever forget my grandpas stories, as much as i felt for him it was just amazing to hear
303 british with bayonette still in the gun case gramps:)

Bed fee: $ 4.95
Doorknob for bathroom charge: $2.99... or $9.99 if you've had a lot to drink
Lock on the door surcharge: $7.77
Air: $1.99
Getting screwed to sleep in a lousy bed: Priceless
So true its sad.

Stickle back
Saweeeeet! What kind of braid shall i use to catch these beauties? Hahaha
-
i almost died hahahahaWhat kind of wire? Just joking.
-
i already showed the better half. Thanks for the reference guys!stickle back, not the common 3 spine though
I have a book, Freshwater Fishes of Canada, Scott and Crossman, as a fisherperson or outdoors person, it's a great reference
if a used copy is online and cheap, it's facinating and great to have

wire is not abrasion resistant enough!!!! What you need is a spool of fiber optic cable hahahaha.LOLokhere goesAGAIN..I WILL BE USING WIRE!!!
Have a fun trip simon
-
lack of sleep and i almost spit out my drink reading that hahaLOL!!! I can't help it
never seen one before, now walleye are full of em. might have migrated down from LOTW during the flood waters?
-
never gets old eh bill? hahahahaha.Atlantic.
-
that looks fun!

thanks dave that was the link i was looking for before i posted. still cant find it on there though? it had one long boney/sharp dorsal fin run its back. no individual spike.
-
Probably some kind of Stickleback, would help to see the dorsal fin erect.
my thoughts as well. i could get a better pic as i was alone. dorsal fin was sharp and boney and ran maybe 3/5ths the length. if you look closely you can see minute humps on the back.
i tried to adjust the exposure for a better view but for some reason it wont save. ill keep trying. never seen these in the RR before

i have zero experience with fishing the sea though. I could see issues with any line fishing barracuda and the like
-
to each their own bill. im just saying its darn tough and lasts. i rarely respool throughout a season and i rarely break off or get bit off, even bigger pikePeople here aren't feeding you a line of Bull, lol. Braid isn't very abrasive resistant, especially compared to mono or flouro.
-
half my fishing is shallow rapids through jagged rock billRun it over a rock instead then compare that to mono or flouro, braid doesn't put up with much before it's shredded and looks like spaghetti strands.
-
lol braid is not abrasion resistant. try and cut it with your teeth or a knife haha. im not saying its perfect but IT IS INDEED abrasion resistant.
to each their own i suppose
Moving around trailer without boat
in General Discussion
Posted · Edited by manitoubass2
maybe im being silly but what is there to line up? i always back the trailer into the water then run the boat up. i keep it in the water when hooking it up. i can easily adjust the boat to be even. then pull out. should be even easier with a 16 foot boat.
