I think this was my most frugal year in terms of fishing.
All I recall buying was about $20 worth of jigs
soon Ill be buying more buckshot jigs for sure, those are deadly lures
-
deal #2 is a no brainer IMO
-
huge blocks are part of the game dood
im not talking dirty hits. Im talking. blocks
-
I met alot of them in the 80's and early 90's
watched quite afew times in winnipeg and duluth
my favorite was tito santana. favorite tag team was the road warriors.
nicest guy I met was king kamali. super duper nice guy. biggest a hole was ted debiasi
another real nice guy was coco beware, hulk hogan, ultimate warrior, and rikki the dragon steamboat

the best play in football is a rb or receiver running the line full tilt. opposing player has him lined up, ready for the kill. then bam!!! huge block outta the backfield!!!
i love it everytime

Jerry Rice was in a league of his own. Like you basically said. an athletic machine full of talent and class. thats why I like him so much. the position became a joke in the late 90's early 2000's when athletic guys got huge contracts to catch 3 balls per game and do nothing else
to me Cunningham was like the Barry Sanders of QBs lol. guy was sure athletic and entertaining.
the NFl is still very entertaining but boy has it changed
not only is the behaviour sickening but the rules have gone into the composed bin
I like the quiet guys that still handle themselves as well as they play. Wes Welker would be one
and any player that cant throw a block is meh, minus a few positions of course.

I am a huge Dolphin fan have been since high school back in the early 80s. Needless to say I was a huge Marino fan,I have several jerseys for myself and my two sons.I even spent my honeymoon at Joe Robbie Stadium watching Marino torch Jim Everett and the Rams in Miami's first game at home after Hurricane Andrew in 92. Just last weekend while in Cleveland I ate at Shulas2 ,Don's restaurant in our hotel. I sure do miss the Marino days seems we have been looking for a replacement ever since with not much luck, although Tannehill looks to maturing nicely but he is no Marino, My wife is also a huge NFL fan,too bad though she has to be a 9er fan,I have been forced a couple times to go watch them in Detroit back when Young and Rice were there and have been forced to hear about the many superbowl titles. Thank-you Baltimore 2 seasons ago, that was sweet/
you must have a nice doghouse???lol.
thats awesome if you can banter back and forth with the wife about football:)

You guys crack me up! Your team has sucked for 48 years and you criticize other teams
. He was fired because he lost the dressing room and hadn't made any significant gains defensively.
With the team and the prospects we'll be just fine as long as they are allowed to play.
yeah, they'll be just fine:)
-
He'll be hire in laff land when they fire Carlyle
nope. maybe a southern team( in a few years)
-
lets hope there in stock at my local dealer. im going tomorrow.
-
I also loved Jerry Rice.
randall cunningham was a big favorite of mine as well. now that not going back too far but man o man did that dude have talent.

me likey thisFlambeau gun case $19.99 Canadian Tire. Holds five ice rods and one tackle try easily. Also gets some interesting looks on the ice ...
-
I have a few of those HT softcases and they suck bad. its amazing i havent broken a rod in there yet(at least until i posted this lol)
i break zippers on those bags alot though for some reason?
thats is a sweet case!!!! asap I am gonna start looking for material to make something similar. that price is too steep for my current budget.
id rather my tackle be seperate though

No clue what happened to those guys?
I sure hope they're out there filming.
I love that show

haha awesome! another NFL freak. Ill pm ya for sure.
as a kid, I was introduced early though cards. I collected around age 6. my much older cousins collected as well. Their dad collected as well and was unfortunately killed in a accident where he was hit by a drunk driver.
by this time my cousins were mid twenties and passed the collection to me. and it was the best gift ever.
as a child i memorized every stat, every player. i wish i could still recall all that info.
I was like 10 and was super proud to have Fran Tarkenton rookie cards, nobody else knew who he was lol. if i remember right he debuted around 61-62? was born in virginia but in international falls(where i was born) he was a hometown hero

uncut angling, fishing with gussy, the next bite are all i like

barry sanders is my favorite player of all time.
Ive actually followed many teams over the years, for me at least, its different then a hockey team
walter payton and perry made me fans of the bears waaay back.
i loved the 49'ers because of Montana
my fav qb of old is dan marino. man i wanted him to win a ring, soooo bad
-
im a big fan. green bay/denver are my teams but im just a fan overall and ill watch pretty much any game thats on
-
where I fish they are super easy to catch. deadsticked minnow on a jig. fish at night.
ive only caught them on the ice though, and they can piss you right off. they like to barrel roll all around your line. this gets worse when sometimes you cant even feel them take the bait
-
so your opening the bail to let them run?
dont most reels have a freespool mode(mine do)
ive never used it and actually never even thought of using it
I wonder if one method would be better then the other???
ive lost sturgeon where now that I think about it this coulda possibly helped me land some more fish
....without losing 200 yards of line
-
so cold smoking doesnt actually cook the food?
I have never actually heard of cold smoking until this thread.
-
ive had a few bbqs on the ice.
its the best food ever after hours out on the ice.
only do it at drive to spots though.
I also want a 50"pike but I have a feeling ill be chasing that forever
-

Your best chance for that lunker would be here on Erie, but many hours burning fuel have to be put in. Second would be Quinte in winter. I have seen plenty of 12's there but not a 15. The only 15 I have seen was many years back out of Nanticoke.
I had one that woulda been close in the long sault. Lost it boatside right qt the surface. that moment you realize you forgot the net, D'oh!!!! tail splash was still awesome though:) river walleye fight!
id also like to catch a musky over 30" lol
Bought in 2014 and planning on getting in 2015!
