Well, you asked for it!
I'm a big fan of liver and no one else in my house would even sit on it! So, I decided one day that I would try something different for myself and picked up some baby beef liver.
I cut it open like a pita, stuffed it with Havarti cheese and tomato sauce. Closed the "pocket" with tooth pics and breaded the liver like I would fish. (Egg was, flour and breadcrumbs)
A quick fry until golden brown and it was excellent!
How's that for thinkin outside the box!?
HH
hahahah ive done almost the exact same thing but I didnt use tomatoe sauce I used sundried tomatoe.
turned out too rich for the kids but i loved it
maybe ill try your method

they are a gift from my mother in law. yep snaredCool pic! Nice looking bunnies...how do you prepare your snowshoes? They look clean, did you snare them?
ive eaten them many times but this will be my first time cleaning them. wife wants fur too so any tips anyone has would be awesome?
-
no, they are super easy to catch if your in a lake that has them???seeing a few guys talking about ling...are they really that hard to catch, i caught a pretty decent sized one this fall outta GB approaching 10lbs. I guess yes, it was my first Ontario Ling, but in Manitoba they were a nuisance fish so I didnt think much of it.
deadstick at night with a shiner or worm
ive caught thousands at night but like maybe 2-3 during the day lol
be prepaired to be mildly pissed off when you land them and realise they are wrapped in your line 20 times over haha

Wait until Komarov gets back, it's only going to get better. (ie the pressure on the opposing teams top line, PK, etc)
ah yeppers. my favorite grunt!?

ill take the train lolWith the exchange rate factored in it is up to C$2.37 a litre in London, England where I grew up.
thats insane
10 years ago when I worked up in ear falls its was 1.49 I think? .87 in fort.
I wonder what gas in ear falls is at now?
-
yep OPEC has us all on a string.
I worked in the oil industry and I know for a fact, oil is profitable at $14 a barrel.

im still paying high prices. you guys are lucky. i think its 1.23 right now.
good thing is with our recent move its a 20 minute drive to the states.
what a difference!
70 to fill here 38 to fill there
-
one thing right now is Toronto is gonna be very tough to beat as long as our depth stays where its at(remain healthy).
im sure you guys have noticed the 3rd and 4th line come out and just smother everyone into the defensive zone and create chances time and time again.
santorelli has become and absolute stud, clarkson has stepped up and guys like Panik as well.
the harder they hit and smother the more they score and they notice that.
and what can I say about JVR? hes the best we have. hes trouble for opposing teams almost everytime hes on the ice, consistently.

that soup sounds really good!
here is a few others I like to make...
preheat oven to 350. add pork steaks to a glass casserole dish. season with minced garlic, pepper, sea salt, dill seed and coriander.
about ten minutes into cooking add about a half can or even a full can of beer.
when pork is nearly done I brush on a orange ginger brown sugar sauce and finish it off on broil to give a crust.
that pork steak is amazing.
the next is a sandwich.
get a good long fresh bun from the baker.
add a bunch of thin sliced pastrami sliced black olives and some jelapeno havarti cheese. brush the bread with a lil olive oil and broil for maybe 3 minutes. spread cream cheese on other side of the bread and eat
got that one from my mom. takes about 6 minutes to make and its very very tasty

A couple of times a year, I start off making a pot of soup. By the time I go through the cupboard and the freezers, cleaning out remnants, I wind up with this massive pot of stew. Never turns out the same, but it always tastes darn good and never lasts long.
Kinda like making "stone soup"
I do the same and sometimes I regret not writing the recipe down hahaha.
they all turn out really good though. Im a huge fan of stews. not only are the tasty they can be dirt cheap and fill alot of bowls!

loader, now thats a toy!!!
congrats on the purchase, also that food looks like whoa!!!!

did you hear the response NYR Lundqvuist had to the question about tough shots from edmonton? lol
kinda sad

cooking is just fun though man. just try and experiment. eventually you make awesome dishes.
you see some of the pics on this site? friggen amazing looking and im sure they taste even better(a pic never does good food justice) but these members were not born to cook, they learned.
its fun and when you make a dish thats a hit you hang on to it and move along

you can look at it that way lol. first time i made a homemade poutine thats what i thought. turned out horrible lol. but i was 17 and had no clue what i was doing hahahaI'm thinking of bringing the lobster home alive lol. Go big or go home right lol
if you get a live lobster just boil it and prepare it. im sure there is one million youtube vids showing how. i still suggest a light cook after in butter garlic though. mmmm
-
but honestly if your gonna spend money on a lobster or two, personally id rather grab a few new york strip steaks, mushrooms, onion and potatoes.
youll get way more flavor and bang for your buck
-
lobster is easy.
if its pre prepaired just add to a skillet of butter and garlic. cooking time depends on size but its only a few minutes. add some pepper and chives or parsley after cooked and viola!
serve over a bed of minute rice cooked in chicken stock instead of water.
serve with a sparkley zindfandel wine and your good to go

since ribs came up in another thread, try this one its super easy(or for pork butt or shoulder.)
two cups of brown sugar, two cups ketchup and two cups vinegar. mix. add too crock pot on low. add ribs/butt and cook for about 6 hours or so.
super simple sauce that turns out real good. spice to your liking.

lol thanks Randy but thats a "leftover lets see what we can do night" lol. and post some pics!!! id love to see them! im always looking for inspiration/ideas
tasty as all heck but not very purdy.
LOA. if you like plain hot dogs in the micworave try a pack of spicy chicken ramen noodles, crush, put in bowl and fill half way with water. cook in mic for 2 1/2 mins. let cool. crush cool ranch doritos over top.
sometimes eating like crap doesnt mean it tastes like crap lol

I love winter tires.
that being said, how in the heck would you enforce a winter tire law?
We have enough interference from the GOV id rather keep it to each their own.
Just my opinion though and I realise itll be different for alot of you'se that drive in heavy traffic.
and too those that practice in parking lots ive always done the same and forced my better half to as well. you never know how you'll react or your vehicle in rough winter conditions until it happens. so why not make it a semi controlled environment?
not gonna lie either, its pretty fun

Well I for one love cooking. I love old staples, I love cultural dishes, simple meals etc. but more then anything I love experimenting in the kitchen.
I cant be the only one. feel free to post some of your experiments or just new to you dishes for everyone to try...
tonight I wanted something simple but I was craving mushrooms. so I winged it at the grocery store then again at home and made something really tasty and easy.
first I got on a good beef stock. I wasnt sure how much I would need for the family so I over guessed and made 14 cups lol. better to have too much then not enought.
as I brought my broth to a simmer I added a touch of oil and butter to a frypan and got some nice onions going to sweat. a lil salt and pepper and garlic.
Now I ended up adding adding two cloves of garlic and a whole onion to my broth.
once my onions were done I added them to my broth.
now I added a crap ton of mushrooms to the frypan with some more butter and salt and pepper and now some minced garlic. I cooked them right down too a good mouth full size. I used criminis
Now I added a lil cooked and drained beef to the soup. as well as some long grain brown rice.
I portioned it into bowls, added the mushrooms to the top, topped with a nice fresh soft mozza, and served with a piece of my better halfs homemade garlic bread.
super simple and quick but it was nice...
between 8 of us 14 cups worked out perfect to two bowls each?
-
howah!
nice!!!
thanks for the report, pretty funny too ?

I think Eakins kinda got dealt a crappy hand. I personally think he is better than edmonton showed. But that org is in trouble. Nothing Connor Mcdavid wont fix though.
conner mcdavid is not fixing edmonton...
eakens will pick up work quick. hes probably breathing a sigh of relief now hes been terminated
food that tastes better then it should (food experiments) NF
