  1. Well, I am blessed with many friends, and many of us have been through a pile of crap together: deaths, disease, divorce, illness, loss, you name it. And we have been though lots of good times also, and when a guy is strong and on top of things, he can help the guy who is struggling. That was why we started calling our fishing and hunting trips, and this probably 20 years ago, "Male Healing Retreats." And every one of us has had his healing moments and times of need, but we help each other out.

I think that many of us who enjoy time in the outdoors can share that passion on a very fundamental level, which helps our buddies to deal with their challenges.

    Doug

    I like this post.

    Thats how it should be

  2. That reminds me, last year I watched a young eagle learning to fish on the american side of the rr. Im watching a young eagle with a parent, perched on a log laying in the water. The parent eagle keeps doing a false dive. The youngin looks nervous. A few minutes later he/she goes for it. Slips off the the log and falls in the water? that eagle looked embarrassed beyond belief. Looking around like a human" did anyone see me fall"? Hahaha

  3. Thats not bad.....its a dry cold! LOL

    S.

    Thats funny???

    But its true

Ive worked in -45 in ontario and its like death. Touch metal and your screwed. Or much worse get deisel on ya.

-60 up in northern alberta and its still cold but you can still work. Sometimes the helly hanson gear was too warm.

    hands are frigged regardless lol

  4. LOL, Funny to watch but I wonder how many and what the charges would be for doing that!

I'm sure the police could get very creative :dunno: ??

    In your own yard?(im assuming)

Cops cant do eff all about that

Maybe call you a danger to yourself and have you committed? Lol

  5. Thats just bad luck.

Roman candles dont have much material in them at all but i suppose if the whole thing blew up at once it could be painful.

I witnessed a kid pour alcohol into a bonfire, now thats insane.

If I had know better, being maybe 15 at the time, I woulda stopped him. His dad owned planes and im not sure how he got that fuel?

Bit he sprayed it on and in the explosion it travelled back to the source.

poor kid. One dumb decision and hes lucky to be alive. Scarred all the heck but alive

  6. When I said wasting everyones time and money, i didnt mean that as a dig.

My point was go to the crown and likely have it dropped.

Remember this is costing him lost time at work as well, and if he did nothing wrong, well thats just stupid. And to go to court and waste his wage, just to likely have a judge call it bullcrap. Well thats just silly.

I just think approaching the crown saves money, and time.

But regardless I guess we pay all their wages regardless so...

    Just my two cents

  7. Meh big cliff those things are pretty harmless. They hardly burn and they really dont hurt at all if you get hit.

One of those would never ignite a gas line unless maybe if it had a leak.

I got shot directly in the face and did nothing but laugh, thats how much it hurt.

But again, those things arent cheap. There around $5 a piece and shoot like 4-6 times.

and they are super inaccurate. They musta bought a whole lot to film that video.

Im assuming they are ignited before the drone takes off??? Or that dood is a genious and has some method to ignite them mid flight???

  8. Hahahaha.

We used to play "draw" with those fireworks.

I tried to film it once and took a shot right to the face lol

Even burned my phone case while shooting the video.

Call me crazy but id rather be the guy trying to dodge. Its fun

shooting from a drone would be fun but expensive as well

  9.

Had the same thing happen back in the 80's doing 120 on the 401!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

    Howah! I cant imagine that!

I was doing 90 and it felt like it took me 5km+ to stop. Or that brand new truck was getting rocked, along with our knecks...

I had no traffic around though. Which was a bonus

  10. Crappy deal.

I had a uhual trailer pop off while traveling with a load down the 502(dryden highway)

I felt a pop and new right away something wasnt right. Quickly I just sense what was wrong and began what had to be the slowest decline in speed ever???

Sure enough, just as I come to the intersection I cam to a stop.

The trailer had jumped off the ball and was just held by the chains.

Good thing too because not only was that very dangerous, it was a brand new truck I had borrowed from my father in law!
