Thats awesome! First tourny I held was a family day event, and a young girl won about 2 grand, a leather embroidered jacket, 3 trophies(first walleye, biggest walleye, most walleye) I was really stoked on that. Good on ya having a tourny for vets! Thats just awesome?

Im dyslexic and I can still launch with zero issues with hands at the bottom of the wheel. Mind you ive had a ton of experience with trailoring everything you can imagine in the oilfields. Ill never forget the first time I had to back up a 4x6 safety trailer into an area with about 4" give on each side, in a foot of snow lol Practise makes perfect. Most people just overthink launching or get nervous with eyes on them. Guys that dont prep the boat off the side of the launch are just ignorant or blatant (insert swear word here)

Chicken stew and dumpling is a good idea? Chicken seems to be the only food I can keep down right now, and turkey. Anything too fatty and not good

We do alot of crockpot meals bill. And big cliff it would just be nice if I could eat anything lol

Meh, I too was taught not to come empty handed? And if you do at least do some work of sorts. When I go up to gramps on sawbill I bring fuel and weed eat. Im not even sure he knows about the gas??? I never talk about it and hes never mentioned it lol. One time i found a used paddle boat for the kids to use up there. I guess I shoulda told him cause he thought it was stolen and dropped off at his cabin lol. Ive tried that soup Cliff, its to die for. And if you make it, I know itll be even better?

Geez Cliff you deserve a humanitarian award for frig sakes! Unreal I rarely mow my lawn(although I enjoy it). We really need a rider. By the time I finish I have to start again lol A nice couple down the road does it because we feed him alot( hes friends with the kiddos). Is bartering still a thing lol.

Kinda bums me out abit because I have kept deep hooked pike when I really didnt want too. This might change my mind I wonder what % get it out efficiently? How many die of injury? How many live as if nothing happened at all? Pretty impossible questions to answer but it sure would ne noce to know. Can other freshwater species do this as well?

I just read this. Ive lost two or three rapalas to pike in the rapids and they would pop up withing hours in a backeddie, then washed up to shore. Id love to see how they get dislogded??? Especially so quick Is it possible they use forage to dislodge a lure? Or do they just headshake like a mot@&$*/)#?

I would have lost it!!!! There are no docks where we launch at various lakes. I usually fish with my pops. We have a good system. Off to the side to take off the boat cover and load the boat. Once ready and she unstrapped, one of us launches the other guides(althoigh its not really needed much) One hops in the boat, fires it up and pull up off to the side while the other goes and parks. Takes no time at all. If im luanching on my own, same process but i get out and use the rope to pull the boat aside. Gets ya launched good clean and quick and the launch os open for others in about a minute or two

A few more days and there will be 1000's sitting right there? Then its go pro time! Lol i got 2 or 3 years of stugeon spawning vids i still need to edit
