I have nothing to add but goodluck. Personally I would love to live right on the water or even have a cottage. As of now I live right off Simcoe ST in North Oshawa and you wanna hear noisy I think I would welcome the sound of boats buzzin by all day I know it doesn't bother me up at our trailer.

He's right save it to your desktop and zoom in the belly is jagged. He is also standing to straight to be holding a fish that big he would be bent back with a fish that size.

Not high and mighty just "my" opinion I even said sorry before I typed it. I did some searching and these Alligator Gar seem to be close to endangered not sure how old that info was though. I follow the laws and respect most of them but I don't agree with alot of them so just because it is the law doesn't make it right from a moral view point in this case it is my view nothing more. Some one busted for serious Piracy for instance can do more real time in jail than a pedophile or a bank robber. As above differen't strokes for differen't folks. No biggie.

From the photos there it almost looks like they hook them first then shoot them with a Bow. Sorry guys that seems wrong to me on so many levels. Neither fishing or hunting. Might as well go down to your local Zoo and shoot them in the cages.

By that I meant did you grow 2 heads from eating the fish from either Lake Ontario or the Oshawa creek. Was a joke more less as I have heard some pretty horrific stories. I am not asking for specific spots to fish I think I have found mine I just wanted to take my kids to see the fish jumping and camp Samac will not let you in unless your a scout so I was wondering if there was anywhere else. I don't have the time to check it out on a daily basis so I thought I would ask. Thanks anyways and I do appreciate the replies.

Still looking for a couple answers here if anyone can help. Are the fish still jumping or is it too late now? I think I am going try fishing for some of these this weekend.

They told us our son had 9-18 months 3 years ago we have been sent to Florida twice. The cancer even came back last year and currently (touch wood) he is doing fine they really don't know. I think it is up to the kid more than what the doctors give for prognosis some go in much less time than what they say some don't go at all there is always hope it is all we have to hang on to. We are sending Lauren some money this week since so many have helped us and I have been in contact with her father he seems like a really nice guy. I wish her and them the best I know what we deal with on a daily basis so I can only imagine how they feel. Their story is much too similar too ours ( I have said this quite a few times now). Sorry to bump this up yet again but they wouldn't let us into samac said it was for scouts only we tried this afternoon. So my questions now are: 1) Do these fish come back down stream and when? 2) Is there somewhere else we could go to see these fish jumping and what is the best time to do so? 3) Is it legal to fish right in a public park like the one I am talking about? I have looked through the regs and see no mention of any bans etc in Oshawa so the river unless private property as mentioned above is open game to the best of my knowledge once the season opens up. 4) And again do you guys eat out of this river? (Do you now have 2 heads how is your sex life etc?)

I am off work here at 1:00 and I can't wait. Beer and BBQ and possibly even shorts today.

I did read that but I am not sure it covers my trailer or not guess we will have to wait and see. It states something about lots etc.

I have read now in a couple places including the regs that you can not fish in Hastings until the May long weekend. We bought a trailer out there in july last year so this is new to us. What I am wondering is if this is just for the Dam and right in town or in general? Our trailer park site states that it is 4 km out of hastings do we fall into these guidelines? I am worried about missing the Crappies and I have been looking forward to fishing more than anything all winter we go up on on the 4th of may to open it I have been planning to at least get in a few hours that weekend. Help!!!!

Sorry for posting right after myself. I checked out the area I plan to fish tonight and I couldn't see anything around at all. Another guy with a dog actually came by and said the same thing (maybe someone here?) Do these fish come back down from camp samac after they are done spawning to head back into Lake Ontario? Doesn't the seaon start this weekend? We tried to check out camp Samac too but they are only open till 5 so we are going to try and hit it tomorrow after work we get off at 1:00. Thanks again and I will catch at least one of these monsters in the next few weeks.
