  1. Have any of you ever fished or even visited any of the following lakes.

    Lake Kipawa

    Lake Ogascanan

    Booth Lake

    Lac Duparquet

I am doing some internet searches and these have sparked my interest but would always rather hear from past experience if possible. Thanks in advance , Mike.

  2. I think all new motors are quite good. My father in law has a new Merc and I have a new Yamaha the Yamaha is a bit quieter than the Merc. Also Yamaha has been very pro active with customer satisfaction surveys with their products so far ( nice to see they are worried about what you think after they have your money ). My kicker is also a Yamaha and if I buy again it will be another Yamaha.

  3. Joonmoon I was in the exact same scenario as you a couple of years ago. I was told not to insulate the bottom of the floors instead insulate the crawl space walls with spray foam. I had a contractor do the spraying and it worked great. Floors are much warmer and I used electric wraps for my water piping in the winter and no longer need them, they cost more than your heating costs for the season.

  4. I've had both and prefer the PD for my style of fishing and I agree with sinker the long cord is great to steer when at the back of the boat. I use my gas kicker to propel the boat and the Minnkota to steer using the auto pilot when trolling Erie for walleye it's great.

  5. He is probably the best I have ever seen at setting up Lowrance electronics. I seen a guy that had a brand new Ranger bass boat the dealer had installed a Lowrance network and it didn't work properly 2 minutes outside he new what the problem was and did all the repairs for the guy on the side of the road. He always treats me great, thats why 99% of my buisness goes to him.

  6. Thanks for the help guys, I think I am staying at the Holiday inn. What type of tackle and bait are they using there and at the mall. Bob thanks I will check out the Algoma train as well. I don't know how much time I have but I will fit in what I can. Do they night fish in the spots mentioned?

  7. I agree with every one so far and also think that we need to think of our resources from the Green stand point and stop polluting at every level. Not saying the green party just that whole outlook on our country. I have given these type of issues more weight in the last couple of years than ever before, maybe it's because I'm getting older maybe it's the OFC influence.

  8. I know I have read a few posts from guys fishing the northern area of the Quebec border. Some of them must have liked it. Tony I gues that is my one exception, I have fished the French the last 3 years and want to change up the area a bit.

  9. I want to try a different area for my family trip next year. I am looking at Bay Wolfe camp and am intrigued but want some other options. Prefer cottage not the Hilton but enough the wife won't kill me. Preferably Pike and Pickerel but any and all other species a bonus. Trophy not as necessary as numbers to keep family entertained. Prefer 8 hours or less from Toronto. I am also very interested in the Quebec Ontario border area and North from 401. Any area where wildlife sightings are a good possibility are an added bonus as well. Need to be accessible for my 18 foot bow rider aluminum or possibly a rental. Any one have any good experiences at camps they would like to recommend.

  10. We went out with a charter who owns and operates his own boat, so all money is going to him and I tipped $50 for five guys at the end of a full day charter. In saying that I have been out with this guy 3 times he is $700 for a full day charter and he works his tail off to put fish in the boat. The tip to me is a way of letting him know you are happy with the service he provided.
