  1. Glad you got this gone. Had i on one of my systems, and it was a pain. In general, if AVG doesn't catch something, I use Trend Housecall's Online scanner. It's always been very good to me... http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Jay
  2. I love canoe fishing for pike! You can always tell how good of a fish it is by how much it pulls the boat... Hehehe... We always frive 7 hours North fir pike. Maybe I'll start looking in the back yard for them! They're obviously there. Nice fish, and great pictures.
  3. I'm sorry to hear about that. The trouble it causes is usually worse than the cash missing, but having to cancel a trip is too much. Like Travolta said in Pulp Fiction, "It would be worth him doing it, if I could just catch him doing it."
  4. I love seeing kids enjoying fishing that much. Makes me miss the times when my kids thought fishing was cool... Hehehe... Great work!
  5. Tony's! That was it... I just remember the big BAIT sign. Hmm, maybe I'll do a little research on Google maps of the area up there to refresh my memory...
  6. Well, that's where my dad taught me stream fishing... Back in '74 or 75... Got some small trout if I recall... But haven't been up there in years. Wonder if Breezy Corners is still open.. And it was handy as there was a bait shop right on #6 on the way up....
  7. I go with a group of guys every year, and one of them has used Lauzon for the last 30 years or so. For trout they fly into Robb lake, but we prefer Pike, Lakers, and Whites at White Owl. Reno is a great pilot and we've never been disappointed on any of the trips. That's just my1/50th of a dollar though.
  8. Thank you gents. Looks like a great source of all things fishing! I'm actually really suprised at how wide ranging the membership is, but it IS a big Province...
  9. Now that's the way to spend a day. Some very nice looking Perch in the bucket, and I know that lighthouse.... Haven't fished out of there in 20 years... Nice work!
  10. Sorry, folks, I should probably introduce myself properly. I've been fishing for over 35 years and tried everything from stream fishing in Carlisle to a trawler in the North Sea. I do mainly bank fishing here in the Hamilton area, but usually not until the summer months. I also do a fly-in trip with 'the boys' for pike once a year. I've dropped a couple of hobbies, so now I'll have some more time to fish, and I just got so eager to get out there, I forgot proper etiquette. My apologies. I look forward to being an active member in the forum.
  11. Okay, I just found the site, and this is great!!! Decided to make my first post just before my first fishing trip of the year. I'm heading out Monday to wet some line, but I don't usually go this early in the year. Can anyone give me some places in the Hamilton area that may bring me a little luck? I know there are a lot of fishermen in the Hamilton/Stoney Creek area, and hopefully one or two will divulge a honey hole... Scouted the Grand today between Caledonia and Cayuga and found some guys catching suckers, but there's always Pier 4 too... Thanks!
