  2. i was down last weekend and we had a small tourney out of deseronto and alot of guys didnt do anything and very few were caught out around the ferry.i managed to get 2 smaller one and one guy caught about a 10lbs off the dock in deseronto i couldent beleive it.this week has been a bit better there is some good size fish being caught now, that being said there is alot of reports still saying alot of guys coming home skunked.i think its just the starting of the run and it should really pick up anytime now.good luck ill be out next weekend.
  3. fisher, for pike i use rapalas a mix of colours and from floating to deep diving models.you can cast them from shore and troll them as well.i use a 7ft med action rod and spin reel with 50lbs power pro line and 7ft floralcarbon leader 25lbs.they work for walleye as well,i use jigs for walleye with mr twister tail in differnt colours, walleye love twister tails and you can also tip them with berkley shad minnows.assorted colours for jig heads 3/8 to 3/4.the same rod and reel and line will work but step down to 12 lbs leader line.
  4. if you guys were on the quinte forums you would be kicked off for treating peoples comments like that.hes only a learning angler and if you cant ask guys on these forums questions to learn and you get bashed for it do you think that they will ask a question again, isnt fishing all about learning and this is what these forums are supposed to be for i thought.leave the kid alone if you dont have any good advice for him or anybody for that fact.

  9. willow you go fish anywere you want on simcoe, as all waterfront property owners do not own the water or the land its on if you phone the ministry they will tell you the same thing.just stay in the water a bit and you are good legally and if the land owners dont like it tell them to call the cops, there is nothing they can do you are on crown land and its useable on foot just as it is in my boat.
  10. i have never had any problems with power pro ive got it on 6 spin casts and 1 bait casts and 2 trolling rods and ive always had remarkable strenth out of it,in fact ive almost broke a few rods over it and i find it casts great.i would not trade it.

  17. are you kidding me,you had the best and now your looking for the worst,if it was a car your looking at for sure japan, but a truck, you cant beat the chevy bud i would keep the old one before trading it in for a japan truck.check out used chevys .
  18. i fish quinte alot and on average to clear days for best odds use super line of some sort because the no strech you want to see and feel any movement of line or you want to feel it as well and yes for sure use floro and no more than 10 or 12 lbs as well 4 or 6 ft of it.you should have a good set up,and if you and a jig to the bottom of it will wor as well but you will also catch suckers and catfish if the jig is just lying on the bottom.
  19. under armour then 1 layer of fleece and then floater suit mustang.when walking and drilling open up your suit to breath and then when you cool down zip up the floater.
