  1. Before you leave the ramp.. put the motor ALL the way down and give it lots of time to drain before returning to the trailering position. Next outing.. if still cold.. let it soak at the launch for a few minutes before firing it up.. in case there's any ice in the impellor.
  2. Never had trouble keepin them awake in the boat Twocoda... she's been one of my main fishing partners since she was knee high to a grasshopper..
  3. Remember you can vote every day ! Voting for Week 2 contest: March 21 - 27 http://apps.facebook.com/ereadwithindigo/entry?id=1249

  6. Picture is even fishing related. Question is where you like to eRead and her answer is "in the boat, waiting for the fish to bite." Thanks in advance for all your efforts!! This one apparently allows DAILY voting. This weeks voting ends on the 27th .. Week 2: March 21 - 27 http://apps.facebook.com/ereadwithindigo/entry?id=1249
  7. He's still in the Zanzibar Roy !
  8. We are Paul.. and Mike and I would fish together on any given day! Take your stir stick and get back to work...
  9. Yah... maybe go back and read the sign again ! lol Remember a canoe.. with a trolling motor becomes a motorized vessel and you'll need a boaters card.
  10. LOL Mike.. funny when the shoe's on the other foot. I'm not gonna dig the thread up but I remember someone doing some serious ranting to get to the "send it back get a new one" stage... But like you said.. Quantum opened the door.. pack it up.. put a note in as Solo says with your expectations and the fact you didn't appreciate the expense of $21 to ship it back and the wait. I'm sure they've got something at their end that they'll stuff in the return box for your troubles. Those stating shipping costs certainly don't mail much out insured and trackable ! Just sent a 360 gram envelope to the Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton $12.98... sent them a 550gram box last Thursday.. $14.23 I'm guessin the estimate I pulled up in page 1 of $20.68, to Oklahoma, for expedited will be purdy darn close.. Xpress estimate was OVER $30
  11. What is the "right" grease Jimmer? Mine looked like EP2.. smelled like EP2.. felt like EP2.. I replaced it with EP2 !

  13. Shot in the dark.. but give my thread a read.. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51478&st=0&p=557662&hl=hack&fromsearch=1entry557662
  14. Look at dat.. a fish report from Art !! Glad to see you out and about my friend!
  15. I just walk by mine and rub it every day Dan... I've never got around to covering it since the last Muskie trip !!
  16. Makes you wonder eh Will !! When our Lab was 13, and had alzheimers, we had him at the lake and he would take off on us and forget which way was home. I had a luggage tag on him that said "my name is Rikki, I'm 13 years old and sometimes forget where I am, please deliver me to Island 30-4 or call.." When he'd disappear Leah would go East.. I'd go West.. in seperate boats looking for him. He was missing for over a day one time and we thought he'd drowned. On the third time by an island Leah saw a man holding Rikki back beside a cottage. She asked him WTH and he told her they'd let him sleep at the foot of their son's bed that night because the kid really liked the dog (renters in Doug's cottage). Phone works just fine over there... After retrieving our dog.... 2 days later we caught them 5 feet from our shore trying to coax Rikki into their boat with hot dogs. It was their check out day in about 1/2 an hour and they were trying to steal our dog. He was also on thyroid pills on a daily basis... what are people thinking. Go to the pound or store/breeder and buy your own damn dog.
  17. You can listen to me.. or listen to them Brian... both seem to work for all involved!
  18. Yah.. I know.. just a basic rule for me. The gas stays in.. I'd rather keep all that rubber/synthetic stuff coated in fuel than to let it dry out.
  19. Well dump the fuel out first... or you'll be standing there a long time looking like a fool to the neighbours.... ;O) FWIW.. I never run a carb dry. Stuck floats.. dried out gaskets and needle seats etc my reasoning.
  20. My 2011 goal... just the smile and getting on the water... the fish will be a bonus!
  21. This will be like a Dodge/GMC/Ford.. or a Billy Bob brand thread. I run Stihl oil that already has stabilizer in it. I use it for the winter and just pop it off the back of the sled and store it upright. I might give it a bit of oil.. ala fisherman.. as it was a bit tight to start last year, but then again that could have been my clutch box falling apart.. as I hadn't had any issues the 3 years prior.
  22. So close I think I saw the American Flag fluttering in the none existent breeze...
