great report to bad about the engine problems that second last nooks a beast.

WOW I can't believe some of these replies! Lifejackets ,PFD's should ALWAYS be worn while under power.I wiped out on a sea-doo and the teather ripped off without killing the engine and I was knocked out cold and ejected from the machine at 70mph (I know too fast) but if it wasn't for the lifejacket I would have been toast. Even at slower speeds you can be thrown from a boat, doesn't happen to often but it can happen. I wear mine when ever the boat is running,the article says they want to make it mandatory for moving boats not all the time . for the more $$$ for the goverment comment they won't make any $$$ if people just follow the rules they suck sometimes but they are not always just a money grab.It takes you 3-4 extra seconds to take it off when you stop or take off .I was out this weekend and hardly anyone wears them, I have been stopped twice for saftey equip checks and both times they have commented on the fact that we are wearing our life jackets .Just watch the commercial with the 2 young kids abbandoned in a boat cause their dad went overboard both kids are wearing them but dad drowned cause he wasn't .

Nice place buddy we were in pt burwell and the dead smelt were everywhere and the lake was definately flat today perch fishing was good took home 25 good jumbo's can't wait to get out pikin again .

i'm hoping to get out to long point as well. try and find a launch and some water suitable for my little 12' tinny, hope to get into some pike. that is if the weather cooperates.

Hey Ryan try the provincial park the launch is great 3 wide and the launch on the right when your looking at the launch never gets used and it's fine for a 12' tinner and the park channel puts you right out were the fish have been straight out from the PP in 5-6FOW near new weed growth the Pike fishing has been a bit slow because of millions of dieing smelt but there has been some nice ones caught in the west end of the bay .also just a reminder to antone headed to LPB for the long weekend the east end of the inner bay is a sanctuary right now here's a link to the map .

Make sure you strap it down from all sides...

 

 

If you don't want to look as ridiculous just use the 2x4's and strap the boat down to the rack/front/back of the van really really good and you don't need to worry about securing the 2x4's.

I your cat has always had dry cat food this will work .Just crush pill up mix with wet cat food and give ir to the cat on a spoon if that doesn't work you have to put the pill on the back of the tongue 8-10 they swallow it I have 3 cats unfortunately I would be fine with 1 but the wife loves cats .BTW very funny write up hope some of it was exaggerated LOL.

Splash could you get a U-bolt under it I have seen that done before just drill through the 2*4 for the ends of the U-bolts size will depend on your roof racks.

It was like that all over only a few being caught in the inner bay today and nothing in the outer bay the weather this week should get them moving in. That cold snap and wind storm made a mess of erie. There was tonnes of smelt out at bluffs dead and alive swimming around in big schools I think I will stick to burwell till bass opens.

I heard today there were a few good ones being caught at the very end of the peir

After I catch my first fish with a new lure I like to wipe the lure with the fishes mouth just to give it a more natural scent.

 

 

Try gulp alive spray or yum LPT spray both work great and I have made a few guys eat their words while I out fish them with scent and there not using it me and my brother fishing the same lure me with scent him without and I caught a few pike he got skunked he was peed he uses it all the time now.

I bought a cheap $50 combo after my house fire (lost all my fishing stuff)I still use the rod with a 4000 stradic for chucking spinnerbaits for pike and as a trunk rod (my only 2 peice rod)it's a decent rod stands up to alot of abuse but Def not for finesse fishing not real sensitive .I hear the down rigging rods are not to bad. most guys will say no way but I dont mind it.

It's been slow at best but with warmer temps and SW winds they should be some moving around the end of the peir by sunday.

This thread reminded me of a picture my wife took of a blue herring (spelling?) on the nieghbours roof she went to grab the cam and zoomed in and ptttttch it let er fly right as the cam focused and took the pic just in time to see this LOL
