  1. Hey everyone a few guys have been looking into trying to get a sanctuary set up myself being one of them and we are making some head way now we want to show how much support there is in the angling community this will be at the falls in tillsonburg and possibly part of the river during closed times to help with enforcement so guys can't say "We are just sucker fishing "with a $1000 custom float rod and reel .So if you fish for steelhead in the river or Lake Erie please sign the petition and get your buddies to do the same Thanks in advance for your support.

  2. Had my First tourney of the year on saturday we did OK considering how slow it was I think we were in the middle of the standings with 20 teams .blast off was a lot more fun when your not the slowest boat out there :thumbsup_anim: I found out that lunds can fly as we were doing 40mph and hit a 4' wave that came out of no where and the hole boat came out of the water we made the long run from pt Rowan all the way to bluffs bar and we caught a couple pike out there and a bunch of OOS smallies but we decided to try the inner bay for the afternoon and all we caught was a few more smallies and a 12" snot rocket 1 of the smallies was a 6+ piggy that hit the 6" livetarget perch I released her long distance though she was hooked with 1 hook so I let er shake off boat side .I got to play with some of my new toys and my new rods are awesome and the new curado is a amazing reel and I tried out the new I-pilot terrova and what a tool this thing is I was considering putting a talon shallow water anchor on my boat but there's no need with the spot lock feature it truly is a anchor with the push of a button .anyways here's were the funny pic comes into play I am on the Lund facebook page and they have a thing called the faces of lund were they pic a fans pic for the week and use it as there fan page pic well I thought that getting my brother and his son and me and my son all on the lund with my bro and I holding the first fish we caught in my new boat would be a cool pic and as were getting ready for the pic my bro's hammer handle slips out of his hand and hits my son Kaleb right in the face he was OK just scared the crap out of him ,look at the bottom left of the pic .we have another tourney on saturday for the LPBAA pike derby and hope the fish will be bigger than these were any ways thanks for reading and here's the pic.

  3. Hey Paul I got you a present for your anniversary it will be shipped out on monday :whistling: But in all seriousness though good job my Dad was a achoholic the last few years he was alive and it was horrible to see such a GREAT man in that situation it is hard to kick my Dad stopped the day he was told he had cancer but it was already to late for him .

  4. Lol, I see your point but it's as easy as dealing with your old boat for a few more years....to spend 15 or 20k on a boat you feel will be upgraded to and sold for 60% less

Boats don't depreciate that badly I just paid more than the 15-20k for my lund knowing full well that I will be buying a fully rigged bass boat with all the toys down the road but untill my son is older and I have a full size 4x4 truck the lund is the way to go for me .BTW it's called 2 footitis and every boat owner will suffer from it at one time :whistling:

  5. My lund has a low casting deck and I don't see it being a problem for flippin and pitchin but it was the closest to the gunnels that I saw other than the predator line only 10" of gunnel above the deck my lund is also pretty low in the water so it doesn't get blown around that bad and I have been out while it was howling out already, drift socks slow her right down when it's real bad

  6. Nice jigs ... But I use 3/4 or 1 oz jigs

I wish there was a company that made jigs that looked like live eye jigs but in larger sizes...

All I can find in a large size is northland gumball jig head... They work but the hooks are low quality and the paint doesn't last...

I can straighten the hook with 6lb fireline in 60 FOW

I will ask if that is possible for him to make that heavy of a jig let ya know next week.

  7. Hey guys I have not posted on here about any of my sponsors other than in my sig because I don't like spam anymore than everyone else, but one of the companies I am pro-staffing for this year had his house taken out by the tornado's in the southern U.S he just launched his website the week before. Randy told me he would be making jigs by next week so please check out the website and order some jigs if ya like them .I think the prices are great and the walleye jigs look sweet and the bass jigs will be deadly with a craw or add a skirt and you have dirt cheap flippin jigs here's the site http://www.liveeyejigs.com/ please help out a fellow fisherman get back on his feet.

  8. Should have got a 2-stroke Paul no break in really gotta take it easy on the first tank of gas which needs to be mixed 50 to 1 then your all good and I'm on my third tank now ,ready for my first tourney this weekend still haven't got it slimed yet though :wallbash: had this little guy land in the boat and hang out for a bit and then head back to were he was coming from we were right in the middle of Long Point Bay.

  9. Thanks guys keep the ideas coming I will reply to everyone induvidually this week but just to be clear I am thinking a camping experience would be the most fun for the kids I am thinking small groups like 8-10 kids and I would encourage a couple moms an dads to stay and help out I would definately have some other activeties set up (board games movies sports) my wife is a day care provider and I would def be going to update my CPR/first aid and my lifegaurd cert. Like I said this will take LOTS of planning which is why I am sooting for next july to allow for lots of planning and I will make a decision in the fall and start advertising in the new year this is still just a idea but I am starting to think it just might work.
